everymonth i hear the NPD monthly console sales, but i wanted to know the monthly console sales worldwide numbers. anybody have those for the last few months? thanks!
There are no reliable worldwide sales numbers, unfortunately. NPD gives accurate numbers for US + Canada and Media Crate does the same for Japan, but Europe is a mess. Occasionally I'll see numbers for UK or for another specific country, but nothing for the whole region.
Currently the best method we have for tracking console sales is to keep a tally of shipped consoles announced in the quarterly financial reports. I believe vgchartz just does this for their worldwide numbers.

Yea, except Vgchartz is about as trustworthy as a rabid dobberman with a rabies problem...There is a reason why people cream vgchartz numbers....
....but, when it comes to "free" worldwide numbers, Vgchartz is the best we've got but that's not saying much?

This, but recently NPD did announce a partnership to bring worldwide sales figures I believe by the end of the year.
