Of course it will be your opinion...it helps if you've actually owned more than one console too . Me. Generation 4 - Only owned a SNES...and loved it so...nothing here Generation 5 - N64 was the worst console I bought that gen....overpriced games...horrible controller...not enough games...very mediocre... PS1 walked all over it Generation 6 - Xbox...it was good at first...but lacked 3rd party support...all of its games were on the PC...and the DUKE controller was HUGE...like the controller itself is 4x bigger than the PS3. Also most 3rd party games played better on the PS2/GC. Generation 7 - Wii...I loved this console...for 10 minutes....has only like 5 games worth playing...graphics and presentation are horrible...jaggies on my HDTV are sharp enough to poke an eye out...WIimote is overrated....games are lacking...for every good game there are 100 bad games...91% showelvare FTL. Best two consoles ever imo are the PC and PS2. So much gaming goodness so little time.

16 Bit era: Nothing I owned a Genesis and SNES and they were both great.

32 bit/64 bit era: Saturn, had very few quality games. I think the best sonic game was Sonic 3D blast. Kind of sad for a sega console.

last gen: Gamecube it had its great games but it was more quality then quantity. The only good games were usually published by Nintendo and horrible third-party support.

Current gen: Nothing. I own a 360, PS3, and Wii and all three are great.

PS2, what a piece of junk. Fell apart easy and I ended up playing more DVDs and PSone games. The only system I have ever owned that I ever got rid of. My systems from the precrash 80s worked better then the PS2.

N64. It had some amazing games but they were few and far between. Plus cardridges were damn expensive.

I'm pretty good at picking out consoles so out of a 2600, NES, SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, 360, Wii, and PS3 think the PS3 is worst but only because it's too early to judge it.

By the end of this gen I expect the PS3 to overtake my other two least favorites the Wii and Saturn.

3DO for me. Overpriced, and the only game I enjoyed on it was Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Slayer. The Intro to that game was awesome XD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcv296o0LSs

This guy doesn't even try anymore. The PS2 had the biggest, richest library of awesome in the history of mankind, and you "played more PS1 games". It's one thing to love your console or even their manufacturer, but it's another to just blindly hate a rival manufacturer. Do you have stock in MS or Nintendo? I don't get it.

3rd Gen - Only own a NES

4th Gen I own a Genesis and SNES (Hard to decide but I would say Genesis because I bought less games for it)

5th Gen I own a PS1 and N64 (PS1 because I only played it for one year then when I got an N64 I never touched it again because all my friends only had N64s so I would play N64 the most since When I didn't buy games I just borrowed them from my friends when they finished them)

6th Gen I own a Dreamcast, PS2, and GCN (Dreamcast just because it got discontinued if it didn't get Discontinued I would've said PS2 (because I played my GCN the most)

7th Gen I own a 360 and Wii (I played 360 the most but I wouldn't have it anymore soon because it belongs to my brother and he will take it with him since he is moving out soon so I will only have a Wii)

But I was never Dissapointed with any of these consoles it was just worse then the other console but they were still great.

Whether or not a library is "awesome" is subjective. :| His opinion differs from yours. Get over it.

so far i havent been dissapointed with any console except the Wii, its not as much fun as i thought it would be...i wish they just would take the motion sensing out and i would enjoy it more

I loved my:

NES

Genesis (and Sega CD)

N64

Dreamcast

PSOne

PS2

Xbox (had online which PS2 didnt support...at least well...and Halo and Halo 2 had more hours invested in them than i ever put into a PS2 game)

Gamecube. I bought a used one for about 80 dollars I think. I ended up buying only 2 games for it throughout the time that I owned it: Resident Evil 4 and MGS: The Twin Snakes. RE4 was almost pure nirvana, so it wasn't so bad, but that thing mostly collected dust otherwise.

I didn't like the orignial XBox, to be honest.

All there was for it was Halo, and maybe Starwars KOTR. Most other good games were multiplatform.

I dont really hate any of my consoles but the worst i've bought is the wii. Only because my launch games were terrible (Zelda TP and Red Steel) and i just haven't bought any at all in over a year. It's still a good console and has plenty of good games, i just can't afford them

i've never regretted buying a console

i've never rushed to get one at launch unless it's had decent games

otherwise i wait until the games library is good enough .. i've not a PS3 yet for that reason, but will prob get one soon after MGS4 comes out

I own a SNES, N64, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Not counting Handhelds.

If i counted handhelds i'd say PSP. I returned it within a week lol

Never regretted buying a console other than the Wii. I camped 19 hours in the freezing cold, came home, plugged it in, put in Zelda and I was unbelievably unimpressed. And I had been following the Wii for like, 2 years, reading news, previews, etc. Hell, I even modded a Wii forum on another website.

for me wii, cube and ps1....i don;t use my wii...heck i actually sold it a week ago, my cube was played at least with games, and the ps1...well i had the n64 first so i prefered that...plus i played mario kart 64, banjo, and 007 alot....i did play some FF's on the ps1 and legend of the dragoon, but that was it....next gen after that tho, i plyaed my ps2 the most until i got a xbox with halo ce, me and my brothers always played that...and that why i got a 360 first, halo and other games i liked on the console....ps3 i bought recently so....about 4 months ago....atm it is competing with the wii for last place because it has no MP games i play alot, i played all the SP experinces but i found no reply value rely...and i play ut 3 on comp...soo i don't even like ut 3 that much as ut 2004. I do play war hawk on my ps3 thats why it won over the wii.

I have to say the xbox cause ive had it for about 3 years and i only have about 7 games for it 3 of which are only exclusives(halo, halo 2 and Fable), 3 GTA titles(since i bought a xbox before my ps2), morrowind, and MGS 2(again before i got a ps2) but kinda figures when you buy a system on hype of 1 game (halo) that was my mistake tho. Heck i've had my ps2 since 6 months before the ps3 came out and i have 10-11 games (9 of which are exclusives)

Couldn't have said it better myself. Why did I buy Lost Planet, G.R.A.W. and G.R.A.W. 2? (Not meant to be flamebait, I know the reviews on these games, I just don't like the games)

Only game it had on it that I really liked was Goldeneye. I liked the PS1 a lot more. I still have 70+ PS1 games. lol, but only about 20 PS2 games, because I got a computer and my consoles started collecting dust.

I don't think I've ever regretted buying a console. I didn't really enjoy my Gameboy Advance SP, so that could count. Also, I must admit, I'm alittle over my Wii atm...

Gba isn't a console, but I hated how it didn't have a backlight.
Nintendo was stupid for releasing it without it. ( Sega Game Gear had backlight..)
Did start liking gba era when Gameboy advance SP came out.

1st Generation: Consoles owned (1): Atari Pong
Only console I bought, so although I enjoyed it a lot, it is by default the worst.

2nd Generation: Consoles owned (1) Atari 2600
Once again, only console, so by default, the worst.

3rd Generation: Consoles owned (1) NES
Only one I bought, default worst.

4th Generation: Console owned (3) SNES, Sega MegaDrive, and TG-16
SNES and MegaDrive were both really great, TG-16 was alright. Didn't really enjoy that many games on it. So, TG-16 is the worst for this gen.

5th Generation: Consoles owned (4) N64, PlayStation, Saturn, Jaguar
N64 and Playstation were great, Saturn was really great, the Jaguar... Not so much. Had like 3 games I liked, but really just not good. Terrible controller as well.

6th Generation: Consoles owned (4) Dreamcast, XBox, Playstation 2, Gamecube
PlayStation had a ton of great games, Dreamcast and Gamecube didn't have as many but the games that they did have were really great, but the XBox just didn't have enough games or enough quality games to not be the worst. Good system, nonetheless.

7th Generation: Consoles owned (2) Wii, XBox 360
Undecided. Both have many great games.
