Too bad the PC is not a console ;)
That's like saying the best two fruits ever are apples and sausage.
But they are.

Never owned a bad console. Even my DC had a bunch of really good games on it. If I must mandate one, its the NES. Outside of Mario 3, the second the SNES and Genesis came out it did everything the NES did, except better. Not just graphics, but gameplay instantly jumped up like crazy. There was no point to revisiting any old games. Not even today. I can revisit 16-bit games and look past the graphics cuz the gameplay is really fun still, but NES games are like the movie X-Men 1. It was cool when it first came out, but now that I watch it now I realize I gave it alot of leeway because "omg, thats MAGNETO!!!! Best movie ever, 8 out of 5 stars."
well I have a three way tie accross every gen
360- I love the concept of the system itself and alot of the games but whats the point when it'll 3rod within months of use.
gamecube-Severe lack of 3rd party support and no real mario game. sunshine doesn't count.
wii-I went in ready to embrace its gimic laden games but found myself getting bored within minuites. Crap gimics FTW!!! VC was awesome however.
I've owned, Sega Master System, NES, Genesis, SNES, PSOne, Dreamcast, Xbox, Gamecube, Wii and PS3.
The worst would be Xbox. Great games, but far and few between and too many shooters. My xbox game collection is almost all FPS games. Looking back I should've got a PS2, I did have a GC which helped with the variety of games.
Could be worst is Wii, but it's still early and if they come out with the unique games and online like they promised I'll be happy. Still holding hope for Wii.
3DO for me. Overpriced, and the only game I enjoyed on it was Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Slayer. The Intro to that game was awesome XD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcv296o0LSs

Same for me, Killing Time was decent though.
The PS2 had good games but the system itself was crappy. For early addopters like myself (got one at launch) we got no love from Sony when our systems stoped played dvd's or dual layerd games all together, then add the unsupported Harddrive and the network addaptor addon we had to buy for $50...yea good games horrible system. Xbox walked all over the ps2 from a hardware standpoint...
atari 2600 (had intellivision, was better imo)
8 bit
sega master system (crappy games)
16 bit
32x (i cant really say sega cd i loved it for lunar, and eternal champions and all the crappy FMV games)
then
n64 (crappy games)
gamecube ( love hate relationship, loved it for the few great titles it had, but ps2 was best then xbox then gamecube )
and so far the wii (the few titles i own are ok....but nothing exceptional yet)
