modern warfare 2 is masterpiece compare to medal of honor and bioshock infinite. thats how bad these games are. and i think MW2 is slightly better than COD4. that game suck even more.

Worst one I played was Killzone 2. Holy shit that game was horrible.

So many fps from last gen are terrible to me. I can't stand any FPS COD style at all and what's funny for me is that back then I use to like but now I find that they aged bad while old school shooters are still awesome. Plus the fact that they are way too easy by telling where to go instead of finding things by yourself, too short in singleplayer, and those leveling perks for multiplayer. I still play shooters from the 90's up to the late 2000's while games such as the COD series I no longer do. It's sad that ever since COD4:MW, so many first person shooters tries to copy that game's style.

Hour of Victory was impressively bad.

Yeah, a P2P shit storm which offered absolutely zero dedicated server support which made a competitive community impossible and banned people for running mods, what an improvement...

And Killzone 2 and 3 were great games , so if you are talking about those two, then you would be wrong to places them in the "worst shooter" category.

I pretty much avoided the shitty FPS games last gen (Haze, Red Steel, The Conduit, Hour of Victory, MAG, the FEAR sequels, etc.)

I guess I'll go with Red Steel 2 or Modern Warfare 2.

I forgot about this one. The review was hilarious.

I never played it though. Hell, I didn't play many of the bad games listed. I will have to say HAZE because it killed my TimeSplitters and thus is evil.

Modern Warfare 3, Halo 4, MoH Warfighter

Worst FPS for me goes to Aliens: Colonial Marines, as well as my biggest disappointment of the generation. The one game I waited most the generation for patiently, even went to PAX and got a live gameplay demonstration with Randy Pitchford there giving a Q&A; I felt so reassured the actual game was going to be worth the wait. Then we got what we got, I felt so let down. Thankfully I didn't get it. Thankfully they sent out advanced copies of the game to the media outlets and it was that preview footage that put up the red flags for me and so I waited for the review embargo to be lifted. And man the moment the review embargo was lifted, it wasn't even like 2 or 3 hours after that TimeGate and Randy Pitchford were blaming each other for that steaming pile of shit. I personally put the blame entirely on Gearbox, they embezzled funds from Sega for themselves and used that money to help build other profitable games for Gearbox like Brother In Arms, Borderlands 1/2, Duke Nukem, but Sega saw none of that money, and with $10 million left in their pocket they punted the project off to the no talent hacks at TimeGate to finish.

I've used this analogy countless times but it is the most fitting in this situation. It's like that episode of Breaking Bad where they flash back to how they got the RV. And Walt gives Jesse all his savings to go buy an RV, and instead Jesse and his friends go to the strip club and waste their money on strippers, booze, drugs, all night and into the morning. Then as they walk outside to be blinded by the morning light, Jesse freaks out realizing "oh damn yo, I was was supposed to buy an RV with all the money and I only got $1000 left yo", and his friend just goes "I can get you an RV for $1000", and then he goes and steals his mom's RV and gives it to Jesse. So the whole time Jesse and Walter are driving around in a stolen, beat up piece of shit RV. So, that was the same situation, Walt was Sega, Jesse was Gearbox, the friend was TimeGate and the piece of shit RV was the game.

In the end though, Gearbox isn't legally liable anymore, because despite their embezzlement, Sega still published the game anyways. Legally that's how the suit by consumers had Gearbox dropped from those the suit was against, because it was Sega who ultimately made the last call to publish and that will also probably kill any chance of Sega suing Gearbox for embezzlement.

Medal of Honor is the worst game from that list I've played, so I voted for that. However, another game comes to mind that I played years ago called History Chanel: Battle for the Pacific. That one takes the cake,

Think you can say that Call of Duty Modern Warfare is the best and worst thing to happen to FPS genre. Some may say to gaming as a whole too.

It set a new standard for what kind of BS and outright lying you could get away with.

Worst would have to be COD:AW, the online was ungodly bad.

I played Enemy Front yesterday, and that isn't great. Wonky mechanics, bad voice acting, terrible performance and technical issues. I'm sure I've played worse though.

first one is easily best. 2 and 3 are extremely dumbed down casual shooters. same like how excellent Crysis 1 was and how bad 2 and 3 are.

FEAR 1 is one of the best FPS ever made hands down

Legendary was by far the worst FPS game I, I ever play and this is coming from a guy who like anything with Mythology monsters.

That's why my vote goes to MOH 2010, which had proper budget and a decent studio behind it.

It's so overloaded with failure states, it's the closest thing to Dragon's Lair to come out of an FPS genre.

Like it or not, it's a competent shooter series. Yes, it's sticking to the formula way too much, but it's a proven formula.

I dare you to play any CoD game back-to-back with MOH 2010/Warfigher/BF3 Single-Player. You'll quickly realize the error of your ways.

Even the worst CoD game, Ghosts, isn't half as shit as any of those.

Would have to go with Crysis 2. Some people will say it ain't so bad, these people are wrong.

Was Rambo a fps?

I played/finished KZ2 with an Eagle Eye keyboard/mouse converter. Pretty decent FPS except for the Six-Axis parts which didn't have a key or button equivalent (KZ3 had them).

Yeah,using KB/M would´ve enhanced the experience quite a lot,but on the pad it was just awful.

Its a bit like Goldeneye to me,the game was decent enough but the controls were so bad due to the N64 pad that it just dragged the game down to levels of awfulness.

Crysis 3 is even worse.
