Worst FPS of last generation?

most of those titles are pretty decent, thats a pretty questionable list. warfighter def does not deserve to be on there, game is underrated as eff.

Red Steel was the worst shooter that I played last gen. It would've been laughably bad, but I couldn't stay awake long enough to actually laugh at it. Literally the best thing about the game -BY FAR- was being able to press the controller up against your ear to receive instructions on who to kill in multiplayer.

The worst FPS game last gen was the game, Legendary.

I dont play the rest ... but I only play the best ...... Bioshock Infinite ......

FEAR 2 was a monumental step down from the badass original. It may not be the worst, but it was certainly among the most disappointing.

There's plenty of disappointing/step down/rehashed sequels, like COD, Crysis 2, FEAR2, etc.

But the absolute worst FPS I played was The Conduit. The deluded sheep and the ****-brained IGN/Ninty-site cheerleaders bigged it up into something it absolutely wasn't. An ugly, generic, PS2-calibur (in both graphics and design) game, with empty sterile corridor levels, brain dead AI, laughable story and dialogue, time wasting "puzzles", broken/hacked online and bad motion controls. A complete mess of a game.

I think the Conduit marked my final break from Wii enthusiast to critic. When everyone was pretending this piece of shit was quality, it was time for me to accept that the Wii just wasn't going to get very many actual good games.

Condemned 2

Yeah, Condemned 2 was so bad that I stopped playing it after an hour and never looked back.

It wasn't the controls that got to me so much, it was the tiny linear levels that really irked me.

I can't say what the worst is because I haven't really played any of the truly terrible ones.

However I played Crysis 2 for 360 about 20 minutes and the frame rate was so terrible I couldn't continue.

Also I enjoyed KZ2 when it first came out but I replayed it last year it was pretty hard to get through. Also hated KZ3

Really F.E.A.R 2 and Bioshock Infinite? Neither of those games should be on a list for worst FPS. Not as good as the originals, yes, but worst FPS, never.

Anyway the correct answer would be The Conduit on the Wii. What an utter pile of steaming crap. Haze wasn't much better.

Killzone 2 was the best console fps last gen. OP is stupid. No Duke Nukem Forever on the list, no Aliens. WTF?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Crysis 3. Three trash FPS games (imo) that have ''3'' in their names.

The first game that popped into my head when reading the title is Legendary. That game was absolutely abysmal.

@MrYaotubo: ha I loved this game and really liked the controls. I found they worked well with a controller as I am used to playing FPS with keyboard and mouse. Actually I really enjoyed this game, Hated 3 though and haven't bothered with the series since.

As for worst FPS.. Hmm I didnt really play any bad ones but I found Bioshock 1 & 2 a real chore, never finished them.

Edit: just remembered a game (can't think what is called) you can slow time, fix broken boxes so you can climb on them etc. Probably shooting aliens and Nazis I think.. Thats the worst FPS I played... Sounds OK in my description.. But it was shite

that said while warfighter is certainly flawed it does several things better than most shooters in the same subgenre.

it doesnot do things even better than COD let alone most shooters. Millitary FPS sub genre is trash but this game make other games masterpiece. it failed so hard that EA has to abondon the whole franchise.

actually warfighters shooting mechanics, gun customization, attention to authenticity, and mp pretty much shit on all the recent cods. besides, you hate the genre. i'd say your the last person to be judging quality vs shit when it comes to military shooters.

btw, learning to spell and properly structure a sentence would go a long way in getting your point across . the hell does doom have to do with anything?

I dont care about MP so i cant comment on it.

level design is most important thing in FPS games and these games (COD/MOH) lack level design and rely on scripted sequence. but MOH warfighter turn out even worse than COD. its basically bad COD game thats why its got lower than homefront revolution reviews both by critics and by gamers.

shooting mecahincs in MOH or COD is very basic. if you want a game with great shooting then FEAR 1 is still king and new Doom is best since FEAR 1.

Im a huge fan of FPS but Military based shooter is by far worst sub-genre in FPS either WW2 or modern. they got stale very very fast while old school/twitch based shooters never get stale.

The one other game I thought was funny as **** was condemned, it was a highly rated game but the game itself made no sense.

Why were there people hiding in abandoned buildings in the ceilings and shit? How long were they waiting for someone to come along. Also what was with the dead birds?

Also the AI was hilarious, they would hide behind posts that were much to narrow to hide behind, I had to quit the game because it made me laugh too much.

Everything after BO1 has been bad except for BO2 and 3.
