Worst FPS you have ever played??

@quadknight: resistance 3 was absolutely brilliant and a gigantic leap forward from the first 2 titles which are hot steaming garbage by comparison. how anyone can sit here and trash that masterpiece is beyond me.

that said, as someone else has stated, i'd consider everything ghost/sniper thinks is great for worst fps ever because the guys taste is effing terrible. i mean the guy has to be trolling on a regular basis, no one is that stupid.

Oh crap how could I forget all of the trash FPS on the GBA. The two that stick out the most are Backtrack and Ecks VS Sever^

The final level of TekWar has gotta be the shittiest turd to ever grace the medium. The game had a lot of cool stuff going for it (for its time). And then it's followed by a tour-de-force of everything you don't wanna put into your FPS ever.

They have all been terrible recently... so it's kind of hard to pick. As far as the most disappointing, that would be BF1 in a landslide for me.

I'll throw Mortyr 2093-1944 out there. I played the game a lot back in the day and loved it at the time, but mechanically it was garbage.

It's only on Ps3.

I don't get the love for New Order.

After all the bitching about dude bro's as characters and no character arc etc...that guy intact game is at the top.

The story is alright but then the gameplay is just off and the voice acting is fucking atrocious. The main character does that raspy voice thing that you can tell is fake or embellished and it is just the dumbest shut ever.

It's not even an over the top good kind of bad like Solid Snake.

I thought it would follow along the same lines as Heretic and Hexen. What I got was a steaming pile rogue-like where you see the same rooms over and over.

Legendary was pretty bad but the worst one I can think of right now is AvP on PlayStation.

First to come to mind are Perfect Dark Zero and the Time Splitters games.

Not a big fan of Bullet Storm either. Gameplay gets repetitive and they were trying too hard with the humour. That's the thing with American spoof type humour, they think it has to be in your face and obvious to be funny. Sometimes it's funnier when your subtle, it's less funny if you have to spell out the jokes.

Jericho. One of the few games that I never finished because the game mechanics were so bad.

Some of you here need to play more games...

Resident Evil Survivor. I couldn't finish it, I'm sure the game aged very bad.

I'm not really into FPS, but Goldeneye on the N64 was a big turd to me, and still can't understand the love it gets, maybe you need to be a big FPS fan to understand it.

@MonsieurX: Yeah it was 4 player local MP if i remember correctly, i guess you're right, it's always more fun with friends. I still don't like the game though.

I was not much impressed by COD1 despite its best in series. I thought MOHAA was much better overall. never liked scripted on rail sequence in COD1.

COD and MOH series has lot of similarities. but they also have one more thing in common

they both have one Good game (Allied assault and COD1) and Rest are pretty Awful. they difference is later MOH games were heavily criticized yet COD not despite bieng almost same game.

Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Breakthrough and Frontline are great

Medal of Honor Pacific Assault and Airborne I also really enjoyed, but the games had its flaws.

Medal of Honor 2010 and Warfighter are bottom of the barrel junk.

Call of Duty 1, United Offensive, World at War and Call of Duty 2 are games I've finished multiple times.

Call of Duty 1 and MOHAA were made by the same developers. They share many of the same similarities. In fact I've proven this by facts. Your opinion is your opinion, and does not detract from facts.

How can COD 1 and MOHAA be so different from design, when they are made by the exact same devs ?!

Airborne was pretty bad. I remember when i played it for first time. the shooting and AI both absolutely crap. especially AI was laughable bad. by the time WaW was released. WW2 genre become very stale. apart from decent russian campaign. it was not very good (althought lot better than COD4). it was basically COD4 in WW2 skin rather than COD1 and UO.

both are milked franchise with 1 or 2 good games. most are bad.

Airborne's main problem was that it was very short, with only 5 missions.

In a genre that was growing stale, i.e. WW2 shooters, I liked how World at War and Airborne tried to do new stuff.

For airborne there was this open world design, and you could choose where to start the level and which objectives to tackle first. That was very unique.

Daikatana, Iron Storm and Chaser for old school FPS.

The History Channel: Civil War – A Nation Divided was the worst of last gen. Played it just for the cheevos back in the day.

Tried to get into it but am not a fan of Wolfenstein The New Order this gen.

Awesome games in your list TC. I do agree with any CoD after 4, though.

The worst were on PS3. Games like Jurassic: The Hunted, Haze or Even Turok. There are sooo many bad FPS games. I thought the Half Life series was pretty bad aside from the physics puzzles and presentation of the story, it sucked.

I've played all those games OP that you listed, and if you think they are the worst fps, you haven't played many games before. Yes many of those are forgettable fps rehashed games for the most part, but are mostly bug free and have good controls so i dunno what kinda snooty person you are to think they are the worst. I hated Bioshock infinite but it ran fine and controlled well, its nowhere near the worst FPS game.... not even by a long shot. Bad story, and boring combat but I could search around and find hundreds of worse FPS games than it.

For the age of Halo, its an impressive game in 2001 standards, when I think back to other FPS games from that era, i can't remember any that I had played that let you control so many different types of vehicles as it did. Try to play a crappy fps game like C&C Renegade and then tell me those AAA games you listed are really the worst. Or play some old DOS fps game that had terrible controls.

Killzone Shadow fall was a piece of shit game. PlayStation can't do fps unless it's 3rd party. And the god awful ds3/ds4 not meant for fps.

Haze is probably the only piece of trash I can remember that was absolutely horrible...

My other favorite is people telling me a 7/10 is an average qualitative assessment. It's like people never studied logic or statistics in HS math.

I liked Halo and Halo 2. I thought they were a lot of fun and not many FPS's, especially back then, let you ride vehicles or play part in a battle with NPC's. Usually most FPS's are lone wolf, on foot badassery. That's where Halo felt refreshing.

Console fps aren't real fps. Huge waste of time.

my friend, just because it allow to land anywhere doesnot make it unique. its core gameplay is generic.

I would consider MOH as worst FPS franchise if it was not for a Great Allied Assault. AA save Moh franchise. beside that every game is terrible including ps1 MOH game that is arguably worse than COD games.

and dont get me start on modern day reboot and warfighter. they were so bad that even EA had to discontinue a franchise.

Yep, most of these people have never ventured anywhere near non-AAA games and it seems most of them were born after 1995.

Paintbrawl is still the worst I've played.
