Just wondering what you guys thought was the worst habits you have come across in your online gaming experience? For me i would have to say people playing their music really loud in the background!!!!!!!! Who are you & why do you do it!

Anyone else had a bad experience? Also which console would you say has the best online experience on offer?

It is funny listening to this kids acting hard with all the cursing they do, yet I bet not one of them would say some of that stuff to someone. Most likely an ass-whooping would be all they would get.

all those are good ones.

I'd like to add,

1) people eating with mic on

2) people having a full conversation while mic is on (hear someone argue with his mom over what toppings he wanted on his pizza)

3) people saying "he over there, shoot him" like I know where the hell they are talking about.

4) noobs bragging about how good they are but feed the other team points.

5) last but not least.... people with feedback over the mic.

No kidding! There always is a 15 year old cursing everyone out, then you say shut up, they snap. They say they could kick your ass in real life, threaten to kill you, do your mom, get there "posse" to kick your ass, and so on. It never stops. Let that kid say it to my face and see what happens.

Racism is probably the worst thing... its offensive and useless...

The rest are just annoying people doing what they know best, being stupid and annoying :) (music volume set loud, non-stop blattering, singing with their high pitched voices, burping, cursing all the time imagining they are impressing others, etc etc)

i just love laying low, studying them and ultimately owning them hard during the game :) (well i do get owned many times too though which is sad) :)

There has only ever been 1 time I have laughed when sumone used the N-Word whilst playing a game. Firstly let me just make it clear that yes, I am black.

Anyways, me and my brother are very different. He grew up with the whole rap culture so he spews the n-word out like crazy, I grew up around my sister and we arent really into hard rap so we never use the n-word unless we are clearly mocking my brother. My parents dont really care about what language we use around the house, but my parents are the more quiet people who normally listen to country music and classical music. Anyways, I was playing warhawk and I saw my older brother's name popup, So i invited him to the game. Anyway, mid way I hear my mom talking in the background (I was at Uni and he was visiting my parents at home). My mom started saying sumthing about him cooking dinner and he was saying "yeah mom, Will do in a sec, just lemme finish this game." then outta nowhere my mom said sumthing that had me laughing for a full 10 minutes. She sighs and then says in the most articulate and well thought out manner you could imagine:

"(n-word) you better get the (f-word) off that game before I (female-dog) smack your (butt) back to Africa"

My brother was like "dude...did u hear that :o "

I couldnt stop laughing and had to leave the game because I was annoying the other players. Anyways, that was my "WTF? mom just flipped out moment" I dunno wat was funnier, her word choice or or how careful she was to pronounce every word articulately :P

Clueless friends having long, loud discussions and not using the private chat function (frat morons are particularly guilty of this)

Idiots who think that mics don't pick up their heavy breathing

Smack-talking

But, the handy-dandy mute button solves all of these, and more. :D

I know all about the context in how we use the word. The problem is with this new generation of rap being mainstream, the usage of the word has gotten all blown out of proportion. You have lil kids trying to sound hard by using the word, racists spewing it just to start conflict, and then you got our own yelling it out as if we cant complete a sentence without it.

For me I utilize the mute option frequently, but it still is annoying regardless.

Game On...

I agree with you 100% Personally I believe the word should never be used regardless of race, but I was merely sharing with you one incident i thought was funny :P

I noticed that most people that Tea-bag me in Halo3 do it out of frustration:P

"YES!!, I finally killed that guy! Teabag!! OOHH..YEAHH..OYEAH...yeah! feels good"

Not really annoying but very funny lol

I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned the people that unload their latent homosexual tendencies on someone that frags them. Although I find it sad and funny more than annoying TBH.

What REALLY annoys me about playing online is people who quit when things aren't going their way and the entire game becomes unbalanced. The Halo 3 community are expecially guilty of this. God, I hate them.

meh It's more of a Call of Duty thing imo. And in Call of duty, when the host leaves the game, it counts as a loss for everyone. kinda lame if you ask me

Too often I concentrate more on wreaking havoc and causing chaos than actually winning (getting a good laugh or doing something completely insane > winning most of the time IMO). That really pisses off team mates in games with team battles.

People who blame everyone and everything but themselves ... "bungie sucks this game is crap cause i keep getting killed", "i'd get tons more kills if my team was better" etc.

Internet tough guys, and everything else that was already said.

Hah, I love listening to those types. The_game21x and I were in a battlefield:BC match, and our team was getting its ass kicked due to simply superior tactics and luck on the opposing side's part. As soon as I inquired why we were getting owned to hell and back, this one individual exclaimed "Because this game sucks! Halo kicks this game's ass in every way! etc.". It went on for the remainder of the match.
