Poll Worst popular platforming franchise? (64 votes)
Without a doubt, Sonic. It's a garbage bin game franchise.

Definitely Little Big Planet. I don't understand how that game gets the good reviews that it gets. It's a platformer yet the platforming mechanics and the controls are just terrible and those are the most critical components to get right in a platformer.
Voted LBP. Funny for creative people but, as usual with Sony, mechanically it's just so behind the competition.
Crash and Spyro... boring, dated.. no ammount of graphics updates makes them relevant.
Good in a time with lower standards.
Sonic games after Dreamcast and Sonic keeps on getting worst. I love Sonic back in the good days, but he SUCKS big time now.
Surprise to see a lot of disliking LBP. Only 4 games were ever made in the series to get that much hate. I only played just Little Big Planet & 2 and they were okay.
Donkey Kong (Country, I assume).
So vanilla. So lame. So pre-rendered. So early 90's.
@davillain- Hating on the Sonic franchise is kind of lazy imho. I mean. I didn't even like Sonic Adventure 1+2 but I actually have watched multiple reviews on all the new Sonic games and I think alot of it is just Sonic 1 set the bar too high. I am actually planning to play all of them maybe on Wii console.
Spyro, my goodness those games played like absolute ass. Not sure where all the nostalgia comes from.

The first Spyro game was, "Super Mario N64 with Dragons" is where all the nostalgia is coming from. Which is why I'm very hype for the remaster Spyro series.
@nomadic8280: While I love LBP I can see why it's not loved by all. The controls and gameplay are rubbish for the most part and that's a big no no for a platformer. I still love it for it's creativity and level building, but totally see why others might not enjoy it.

Crash especially is just a stepping stone into 3D gaming. Fine for the time but it's hard to ignore the lack of ambition now. Still, these games run well and there is some fun to be had with them. So I vote Sonic. No game with that kind of pedigree should have so many buggy, bad entries.
