Call of duty is a fast paced game, the weapons used in that time are anything but fast paced, so I don't think so.soulitaneThey made a civil war game.... Its easily one of the worst games ever created... Look it up... Its on the 360...
Korean war game? That would be terrible. All the weapons from that era have pretty much already been covered in previous Call of Duty games and the geography of Korea isn't very diverse.I continue to want a Korean War game. It could be amazing, but no one ever even tries. I kind of see it as a game that does campaign co-op of at least 4 people. I think 8 would be awesome.

And Korea had plenty of very unique period weapons, mainly because of the quick pace of change in military tech, you had transition from Light/Medium/Heavy tanks to the MBT concept, hugely overpowered rifles were being replaced by assault rifles, old fashioned piston driven aircraft were flying side by side with jets and helicopters etc. You would be running around with a M1 Garand and Bazooka fighting AK-47 equiped NK and IS-2 tanks while calling in F-86 Sabre and F-80 Shooting Star airstrikes ala WW2 or dirivng around a Centurion MBT and Chruchill Crocodiles in basicaly WW1 style trench warfareI continue to want a Korean War game. You could get away with maybe a late cival war game, they started to use some repetears. But still i think it would be to slow paced. Even WWI would be much more slow paced, since it was pretty much all bolt actions.

I don't see why not. COD games are already unrealistic, give everyone sleight of hand to make it take like 5 seconds to reload, and then give people like 10 knives per person that can be used to throw at one another. And of course the knife already exists in COD as a ridiculously overpowered weapon, so that could be fully featured in this version as well.
i think a civil war game would probably focus more on melee, the bayonet charge, and cod's commano leap the game would essentially be like playing MW2 holding and the package glitch
No, muskets don't have laser-like ammo like you can reasonably say today with modern guns(compared to muskets of the time), muskets are very inaccurate and very low range so CoD would be a bad virtualisation of the Civil War.

Civil War rifles had rifiling in them, and that is part of the reason why the Civil War was so deadly, tactics for war with muskets that couldn't shoot straight was being used with rilfes that could now shoot straight for the most part...
Sure, I'd give it a shot. The Civil War is one of my favorite historical periods, and one that I find very interesting.

Well, according to Call of Duty, "modern warfare" is fought in the exact same manner as World War 2 was, so it isn't that hard to imagine them just doing the Civil War in the exact same way, too, ignoring all practical concerns.
i'd rather see the next COD title set in modern day... one can invent some sort of conflict and thats it...
i dont want any more WW2 settings.

Because the US got their behinds handed to them by a bunch of 3rd world yahoos in open combat. When was the last time you heard that a US Marine company was defeated and sent running? Well that happaned alot of times in Korea
