Would it be a good idea for ms to buy Sony and save it from bankruptcy?

I mean Sony has a lot of toxic debt and are in trouble, but I do think ms could save them. They could also take over the last place gaming division and hackable online and fix that. They could also sell halo and gears on the ps3 or develop and they could get Sony exclusives ported to 360 and actually get those games some real sales since Sony games sell like $hit? They could also fix their suffering tv line and save jobs as well as its pretty obvious that Sony is going to go under! Now with all that being said, should ms buy it as it might be a good investment. Yay or nayForzaGearsFace

I doubt MS is interested in owning Sony, but they could always invest in Sony the way they did in Apple. Look what that investment back in 1997 did for Apple. Which was also on the verge of bankruptcy. Remember Sony and MS work on a lot of stuff together it's not just about video games.

It'll never happen, MS doesn't do TVs and that sort of stuff, nor do they want to. They might buy all their IPs though, but Sony would go 3rd Party before selling them off.

Its illegal, something called "healthy competition". You cant buy your competitors, investing is one thing, buying is another one, they can invest if they want to (Sony and MS actually work together on a lot of stuff, its not some epic medieval battle with knights and swords on each side like everybody here seems to think) but they cant buy Sony because its illegal.
