In all honesty the Wii U will probably fail.. just another lame gimmick by Nintendo trying to hard to be innovative.

Just like how the Wii and DS failed? I'm aware the Wii missed alot of its potential when it came to games and third-party support, but there's not denying the fact that it is the best selling home console this generation, is the best selling Nintendo console of all time, and is the third-best selling console after the PS1 and PS2. Maybe from a hardcore games persceptive, the Wii did fail. But in the marketplace, the system was very successful.

And I remember people dismissing the DS as gimmicky and underpowered that would be crushed by the PSP. In the end, the DS blew the PSP away in terms of sales, had excellent support from both first and third party companies(unlike the Wii), and was very popular.

Its way too early to dismiss the Wii U based on gimmicks. People did the same thing with the Wii and DS and they ended up being major successes.

They would be better.

Better in what ways exactly?

Graphics.

But Wii U > PS3/360 yet many here think the games look like up ressed Wii games.

The bottom line is higher resolution sure, but not "graphics". Think of Super Meat Boy played on a computer that can handle BF3 maxed out, that extra power would just be redundant.

Just because Wii U has more power doesn't mean Nintendo won't continue with their minimalist / clean approach. Zelda won't become an open world exploration type of game with realistic graphics just because it's possible. Look at NSMB U. Yeah you get the point by now.
