i would not be dissapointed because a 9 is still a solid score. but of course i would prefer a 10. it looks like a lot of fun and i would like it to be praised as well as possible.
Meh.. now that I hyped it AAA, and saw that spore got a measly 8.0.. i'm kinda worried.
Who knows. The guy that reviews LBP might be one of those mythological "spore haters". more rare than unicorns, I think.
It's possible though. I just hope that whoever reviews the game also tries the multiplayer (since thats what I think is going to make this game the most fun)
I think this is the one game that has a possibility of getting a 10 for the rest of the year. I dont think it will but a 9 would be a great score. I dont think spore was a flop. Games dont need to get amazing scores to be enjoyable. A huge flop would be if it got a 6 or something.
9.0 is a great score, how could anyone be disappointed with that? And as another poster mentioned, I won't be disappointed with the game unless I don't like it.
I'm starting to not really care what video game reviews say. I've had more fun with NG2 than anything else released this year so far that was rated significantly higher. Ehh, its all subjective.
I haven't paid much heed to LBP to be honest, but considering Spore got an 8.0, and in my mind Spore was a more interesting looking game than LBP, I would not be surprised at all to see LBP get the same. Hell, the game could totally suck, like Haze, for all anyone knows except the testers.
Not in the least, as the score doesn't matter to me overall. I might express a disappoint that in the fact that someone's opinion differs from mine (I don't have an opinion LBP yet, this is all hypothetical).
I always saw LBP being paired against Spore for whatever reason in these boards. So I would imagine as long as it gets 8.5 or higher it will be considered a success. But as for PS3 fanboys drooling over LBP and not looking at anything else, then 9.0 or higher would be the only acceptable route. Personally, I could care less what it gets.
If it got panned all over with 7's and below I'd start questioning my own interest in the game and whether or not I should spend money on it. But a bloody 9 or 8.5? Would I be disappointed if it got a great score from Gamespot? No, probably not...
Absolutely not, I'd be glad if it it did. I don't doubt it'll be AAA for me but GS will probably give it an 8.5. After recent events (Spore), anything's possible.
