Yes. 82%
No. 18%

Would you be open to Gears with higher mobility and verticality?

Less reliance on mantling, far less stiff sprint turns, faster and more verticality?

Eh, I guess. I like it for what it is and I enjoy its feeling of weight with the characters. So I would still enjoy it if it was a good and fun game in general, it’s not really a change that I’m personally asking the developer to make to it.

I think something a suit that lets you do stuff like in Athem or Vanquish would be cool in the campaign (and maybe horde ) but leave versus as is.

Maybe. Vanquish is pretty cool but maybe less mobility than that.

Anything but the stale ass mechanics it currently has.

Possibly the least changed core combat and was glad they added the drone mini rpg mechanic which basically reminds me of last gens Crysis 2/3 suit upgrades for some reason.

I still like it. Good simple, traditional alien shooting solo campaign with ok variety in enemies.

I do think we'll see major mobility and verticality changes in the next major gears installment though.

It could be so much more. Look where God of War is now, and that's because the dev and Sony weren't scared of massive changes.

Meh, I don't know.

I always welcome when developers move into new territory, experiment, and try new things. But Gears has always seemed like a very grounded (literally, like close to the ground) series. Having your characters parkour and climb buildings and whatever just doesn't fit.

Maybe make a new IP? Five main games plus whatever DLC and spinoff (Gears Tactics! SO GOOD!) is enough, anyway.

gears of war always needed a jump button, so they could make more complex level design instead of rearranging the chest high walls over and over.

Maybe. I'm game eitherway.

I'd like to see more of Gears universe. There was some guy here who convinced me it's got so much more to show like the forced births and something else months back.

Parkour? Nah. But maybe less tanky movement. Maybe grappling hooks or a new ledge system.

Not that mobile. I do want to see ND make their AAA high mobility game like UC but with more weapon and enemy variety.

Most definitely. Being bolted to the ground and crouch running among other things are just awful.

I love Uncharted but ND really needs to step up enemy variety. The somewhat fluid combat gets stale quick. Whatever. More space for other studios.

I think you've basically just described Anthem.

And now I wish you hadn't.
