I think you cant count RPGs, Games like WoW would win this. The only true Game that really gived me a lot of SP was Alundra. If i think about, I even needed more than this 50 hours what the back of the box said.

World of Warcraft has no clear objective, he is talking about a main quest/campaign that is 100+ hours long.
Yea but WoW is an MMO, the TC is implying a game that has a main quest that takes over a 100 hours to complete.I think you cant count RPGs, Games like WoW would win this. Typing /played on my Rogue brings up some truly frightening statistics. Nearly 85 cumulative days played, meaning I've played 24 hours times 85 total on that character. No other game has sucked my soul like WoW, but in a good way!I think you cant count RPGs, Games like WoW would win this. The only true Game that really gived me a lot of SP was Alundra. way to long for non mp game. I'd rather they break it up into 2 or 3 smaller chunks. And this is probably what developers would do to maximize profits and shorten development time of the game.DJ_HeadshotI wouldn't mind playing AC2 for 100+ hours that is my 2009 GOTY.
I finished Persona 4 some time ago and invested around 150 hours in it.Odrec150 hours for the main quest? Jeez, took me like half the time :P

RPGs are RPGs. They are all lame and repeating.

Every game is repetitive. :? And lame? No, not at all.No they haven't. Games "back in the day" were far shorter than games of today.[QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"][QUOTE="kolkov01"] you don't need new technologies for that . In fact games this gen have been getting shorter, not longerYandere
Only action games, RPGs were longer/just as long as they are today.
yea, ive actually put 400 hours into oblivion, 400 in disgaea3 and 100 into ff10 to name a few, getting ur moneys worth is wat i like

We are talking about the main quest, not tacked on side quests.
As long as it was a good hundred hours.
I have no problem playing a game that has an insane amount of things to do. I played Disgaea 2 and 3 pretty religiously, right up until there was pretty much nothing left to do.
ITT: We boast about our game's "length.
Anyways I have played 100+ hrs games so yeah. The concern here would be the quality of the game and what it would have to do in order to keep itself fresh to me for such a long time.
Some more than others.Every game is repetitive. :? siLVURcross

Am I going to be having fun for 100+ hours? My real reason to play is fun, if its 100h+ in which like 80 hours of it is monotomous, boring, garbage and I'm not having fun then no. Since I doubt any video game can feel fresh for 100+ hours I'm skeptical. If its enjoyable however then why not?
Yup and I already have, P3FES, that game is insane when it comes to content and the best thing is that I only paid $20 for it :D.Everything else just feels and is overpriced compared to that, unless ofcourse it's a Battlefield game:P.
I bought Dragon Quest 8, so yes.Skittles_McGeeHows that 100 hours long? Yes it is my fav RPG ever and it is long, but 100 hours?
[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]If it interests me, maybe.funsohngthis. and sometimes, you can play a 10 hour game for 100 hours too you know. No thats not what i ment lol I ment a game that is 100 hours long. Not a 10 hour game that is 100 hours long. I mean a 100 hour game that is 100 hours long. Literally no matter how fast you go the minimum for the Main quest nothing but the main quest no side quests. Just going as fast as you can and you will hit a 100 hour minimum.

Ya it's called Demon's Souls
Yandere
Really? I beat it in two days.
Your PSN ID says otherwise. You beat your first boss on November 13th (and who knows how long you played before that). You didn't beat it until the 19th. Furthermore, I'm doubtful you did that without reading guides online. You can beat Morrowind in about 6 minutes if you know exactly what you're doing too...doesn't make it a short game.[QUOTE="Yandere"][QUOTE="patriots7672"]

Now add in CRUCIAL choices and you got yourself replay value. A 100 hour long story with twists? It would be the most repetative and dragged out thing ever. I dont care if choices are involved and worked nicely, that would be one dragged out game. It is much different then having a game with a main story, side quests, exploration, and multiple play throughs.100+ long minus the sidequests etc would be a complete drag.
