Given that homebrew was what kept the PSP alive, I think i'd be more comfortable with an android phone and a bluetooth gamepad. With the PSVITA being much more potent than the PSP, i'll be disappointed if we don't get Zandronum on the Vita should its machine spirit be liberated.
I had a PSP for a little while and thought it was decent, but I stayed with the DS. The Vita is a train wreak compared to the PSP in terms of games. No. I wouldn't buy another PS handheld.
I doubt Sony will try again. They just got trapped in a terrible cycle. People need games to justify the buy, and devs need an install base to justify the cost of making a game. Neither side took the risks, so its just a never-ending circle of ****.

I don't know. I like the handhelds they made. There just weren't enough decent games for them, imo. I bought a Vita recently and meh. I'm just playing PS1 games on it.
Maybe. Depends on the games and my mood. Bought the Vita because I was bored and its been okay. Mostly been playing ports and older games that I've never played considering I never owned a PS1.
I don't care about handhelds personally, but after the PSP and Vita both which were abandoned by sony, milked by expensive required accessories (like memory cards), and the lack of games support from sony itself (and 3rd party devs) it seems like pissing away money. Even now, Sony is marketing the vita as an accessory to the PS4.
