I don't think so. While the announced library is good, nothing about it screams "must have" to me right now other than Layton vs. Phoenix Wright. I would wait until the first price cut.
$200 would be my limit for buying anything portable.
I still haven't bought a DSi since I always thought it was over priced for what it gave you. Two crappy camera's, the ability to surf the net, and download games. My DS Lite works fine, so the 3DS is really going to have to impress me before I even consider buying it.
Not a chance I'd spend more than $200 for it. The only way I'd consider more is if it includes a good game or two, and even at that I'm not sure I would spend more than $200.
I'd buy it at that price if it had a sexier design. I hate how it looks like a DS, would've liked something different and better looking. Hopefully they'll put a better effort with the 3DSLite.
Yes, if the package includes: -Pack-in game -Induction charger plus standard charger -Augmented reality game cards (supposed to be six) -2GB SD card (I think I read that it's packaged with one?) And if you take into account the 3-D camera (even if it is a rather crued one, given the resolution), built-in games, built-in browsers and the already good library of games I think it's a no brainer for me.
I'd buy it even if it was $499. Plus another one to use as a teddy bear, and a third one to grind down into a fine powder and sprinkle on my breakfast cereal each morning. Then probably a fourth one, as a paperweight to hold down my DSi in case it gets angry at being neglected and tries to bite my nose off. "Don't worry DSi. I'll still use you for listening to music. You won't be neglected."
