Or close to it? I never bought the Ps3 when it was that price and it plays Blu-Rays. 3DS is 250$ I can see Wii 2 being 500$ when they stat it will be significantly more powerful than the Ps3 and 360 which are about 300-400$ still. Yeah 360 is only 199$ now but it's only 4G so I'm not counting that next one up is 300$

Totally depends on what they have to offer me with the system. I bought a PS3 at launch price and have no regrets, if Cafe can do the same I wont regret it either. In reality if any of the 3 current gen systems I "Regret" purchasing it would be the Cheapest one "The Wii"

Considering it is Nintendo, I don't see them charging more than 300 for this system despite what "analysts" believe. Nintendo is not a company that has ever released expensive hardware and considering the competition that will be out at the time will likely be around 200, they can't afford to screw a year or 2 head start by screwing up with the price tag.

To answer your question, No, i wouldn't

If its barely stronger than the current gen consoles then no. I would wait a bit longer to accumalte more expendable money.

I'm not going to bother for a while, I'm gonna save my money for the next Xbox or PlayStation, then hopefully by then the Wii 2 will be cheaper and if everyone hasn't sold theirs by then maybe I'll get one.

599 USD

599 USD

599 USD

No way. The cell processor can not be that expensive to manufacture. Beynd that all other parts should be relatively cheap. The new Ninten console will not be a leap from PS3 to PS4. So all things considered, it should be more around the $300 USD range. Perhaps, just a bit higher than $300 USD.I could be wrong. Just going off of the fact that it will be more in the range of PS3 in terms of power and I price predicted accordingly.

If it is a beastly system with awesome games yes I would. If it is weak, has a bad lineup and so forth of course not. IMPRESS ME NINTENDO!

As much as the part of my brain that is in control of reason and sanity would scream at me NO DON"T DO THAT NO..... If it launched with Pikmin 3, Smash Bros. had awesome online, a standard controller and they announced a Pokemon MMO was coming out for it with in the first year or so.. I don't care how... But I would buy it.... would sell all my O- blood to get it

I'd say $400 is my limit regardless of specs.

Something people need to keep in mind is that Nintendo will most likely continue supporting Wii for awhile.Considering that casuals will continue tobe catered to withWii games and that Nintendo has claimed the new console is for a different demographic, I wouldn't be surprised if Cafe ends up having decent hardware and costing $300-$400.

It WILL be more than $300 I can guarantee you that. I am guessing $400, and I hope it is, so they can pack it with great tech and such.

Goodness, I don't think I would spend $500 on a console--but it really depends on what comes out, and the availability of titles.

I am not interested in the Wii 2, so unless it is free, I wouldn't take it. And if it was free, I would just sell it and buy a PS3 with the money.

Its the price i want it to be. Why? Because at 500$ you know it won't be running on a bs cpu/gpu and have under 2Go of RAM.

No. In fact, if that was Project Cafe's price, then I'd hate to know what the next iteration of the Xbox and PlayStation would cost.

Not likely. That's a lot of money to 'invest' in nintendo who has a poor track record of 3rd party support.

I may be a die-hard Nintendo fan, but asking me to shovel out that kind of money for a console when I play the 64 more than my original Wii would just be going to far for any of us.

well I paid $500 for my first PS3 so yes I would pay that much for the Wii2. Obviously it depends on what I can get with the system of course. I love Nintendo's first party games so if they released the wii2 with at least one killer app I would probably pay the money. As I recall Pikmin 3 and possibly Eternal Darkness 2 may launch with the system and if that is true then the wii2 would be hard for me to resist. As an aside, judging by reports of how elaborate the controller is, I would not be surprised if that bumped the price up

Nintendo was successful for the Wii because of casual gamers and "non-gamers." The Wii 2 will be no higher than $299 USD. Nintendo can't afford to make it any higher.
