@emgesp:
Your asking for a list when those type of exclusives games hardly make one and certainly the so called driver exclusive wouldn't be consider a list at all if I can recall . Those are very few out of all the modern day games making it tiny.

@emgesp: So Uncharted and the likes of TLOU one that came out during the last years of a console life cycle I'm sure you can last only on those and that isn't exactly a big list and what about driving games I don't remember a bunch of those as exclusives.
Gran Turismo 6, Forza 5 and DriveClub are exclusive racing titles coming out soon. Again, where are all the great exclusive racing games on the PC, does the PC even have an exclusive racing game worth a damn? Show me all these great exclusive modern PC titles that isn't a RTS, or MMO.
@emgesp: You have to buy and xbox one for Froza 5 and that only amounts to one and the ps4 for other two not really much of a list. And how about you check out games like Torchlight 2, Stalker, Civilization, and some great indies like Gone Home. Or look at upcoming games like X-Rebirth or Assetto Corsa which is a racing sim .
I suppose if Steam OS is free, that's one less ammo to throw at PC gamers in the price threads. I might try it if there's a dual-boot option. But buy a Steam PC? Heck, no.

Civilization is a strategy game. TouchLight 2 is basically a Diablo type of game. I want the PC equivalent to Uncharted, The Last of US, Gran Turismo, God of War, Killzone, Halo, Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls, etc...
I don't buy a ton of games. One game a month is good enough for me. I have friends and like to socialize. I'm not some anti-social reject that likes to play games hours on end in their basement.
@emgesp: Seems to me your just listing any exclusive on a platform since you listed FPSs shooters and interactive games . Also you need to buy an xbox to play halo and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have some of the equivalent exclusives games to the PS3. Regarding all console in general the Wii certainly doesn't have a lot comparable.

I will buy a PS4 first and an XB1 when it drops in price. No way would I pay $500 for the Xbone. Again, I just don't see any compelling reason to upgrade my GPU just to play prettier multiplats when I enjoy console exclusives more anyways.

I'd much rather be able to run it in a VM and connect that to my TV if I feel like it..
@emgesp: I'm upgrading mine for Star Citizen so I have more reason than just multiplats but I definitely look forward for upcoming ones when there are hardly any next gen exclusive at launch that interest me. I'll just wait and see which 1st part games Microsoft will bring to the PC.
@emgesp: You listed games that are different than the likes of Uncharted or GT not only that you add Halo which is only on the xbox 360 and even some of its exclusives aren't very comparable to the other console.
1) It depends on how easy it is to install Windows on it
2) Depends if it's on par with X1 and PS4 and any multiplat can be run with at least equal visual fidelity and as fw hiccups and headaches as those machines.
Seems unlikely you'd be able to do that for $400-$500. Maybe if you already had a quad-core+ machine and all you needed was to spend that mount on a graphics card.

Yes, Halo is on both 360 and XB1. I said I liked consoles for their exclusives that means both Sony and Microsoft. If PC had similar quality exclusives then I would be playing on PC as well, but since those games don't exist on PC I don't. Only thing PC offers me is point and click adventure games.
Valve designed its console with a dual-trackpad controller to make games more immersive than those possible on a PC. It also hopes to get a piece of the console market. That requires happy PC gamers to migrate to the living room. Valve has a massive following that comes close to the installed user base of the current-generation Xbox and PlayStation. Steam users can play more than 3,000 downloadable games.
“We’ve been hearing from customers for so long that they wanted to make this transition, that it seems to us that this is just another iteration of Steam,” says Greg Coomer, a Valve designer who’s been coordinating the Steam Machines’ development for nearly two years. With PC shipments—and the growth of its gaming audience—on the wane, Valve may have little choice but to push into other formats. It’s keeping costs down by working with undisclosed PC partners and contract manufacturers to develop its hardware, Coomer says. “Some of them will be able to serve millions of Steam customers; some of them are boutique shops,” he says of the consoles.
To attract game developers, Valve is also trying to lower barriers to entry. It’s forgoing licensing fees, which console makers usually charge to sell software for their devices. SteamOS will let developers post updates and fixes for their games without waiting for Valve to test and approve them. Players will even be able to sell hats!

@emgesp: Pc has halo as well I'll just wait and see what Microsoft releases to the PC if its another halo game like a previous installment I might buy it lol
@emgesp: Well good for you even thou i can only think of maybe two that the xbox360 and ps3 games exclusives that share any similarities and PC has halo hopefully it might get a new one for a change.

If I'm going to game like I game now, I rather run Steam OS natively. Now, if it'll be mostly light gaming with Steam OS, I can settle for VM.
@SKaREO: you can use windows OS
Can you show me a source that says this?
Entertainment is not a one-size-fits-all world. We want you to be able to choose the hardware that makes sense for you, so we are working with multiple partners to bring a variety of Steam gaming machines to market during 2014, all of them running SteamOS.

The whole point of Steam Machines is to shift users away from Windows OS and move them into the living room with a linux-based OS.

"The Steam machine is a Linux box with a modified OS, except you can install whatever OS you want (and will probably want to install Windows in order to get the majority of Steam’s library running on your machine). "
