Maybe this time around they can spend more resources and talent on gameplay than you know, raindrops on glass lamps.

All flash, no substance. Not even a proper storytelling.

Zelda, Metroid, AC, KZ, KI, Red Dead, GTA... all mediocre first entries that went on to have respectable, & some even great sequels.

Ya, but teh sky might be black or grey, depending on the time of day.

if they can restructure the game so it's more like a conventional TPS with the same scope and polish then yes.

The game/film hybrid was interesting but clearly not well received. Hopefully if they do they learned from their reception towards the choices they made.
