I still don't see why people see 15 as being too much to pay. Thats the same as going to see a movie and buying a coke and popcorn.. once a month. Seems pretty reasonable for the amount of content you get. (In WoW anyway)

Rift looks just like WoW. They didn't even try to differentiate themselves.Sorry, but I don't care about TOR. Only MMORPG that I'm hyping is RIFT. It looks really interesting.

I chose the 3rd (offensive) option in the poll, just because I'm still hugely disappointed to get this TOR mmo instead of KOTOR3.
Besides, I can totally afford to pay monthly fees for dozens of games, but as a principle I just refuse to do it.

Tor will be immensely huge compared to other single player rpgs. Will be constantly updated for years with new conent. So tell me why you would want a single player game kotor3 that may last 30 hours max and not tor which may last for years.

Because I would rather pay $50 for kotor 3 once, rather than pay ~$200/month for a grind-tastic muhmorpuger.[QUOTE="the_ChEeSe_mAn2"]Then why isn't there an MMO that charges you more than $15 per month? Because no one will pay that much.N30F3N1X
Because noone has done it before  ?
That's a completely meaningless assumption and the market hasn't in fact shown anything, considering the only really successful MMO up to now is WoW
You provide no proof and then just say it's a "meaningless assumption"? Sorry but your post lacks credibility, especially since you just said that the only really successful MMO is WoW.I just feel kind of bad for people who want a small-team experience but play MMO PvP. It's like training to be a badminton player. I mean, one, it has "bad" right in the title, and two, don't you think you could play *any other sport* and y'know, face more legitimate competition / have more fun? No? Okay... - Seriously, take up SC2, TF2, something.... anything... other than MMO PvP, and you'll be better off if you're serious about high-level competition :Psubrosian
Now now, was there really a need to "trash" badminton? :P I know in North America its not anywhere near popular but the matches can be quite competitive and for those who actually enjoy the sport it is fun to watch AND play. Don't get stuck in the mindset that badminton is just a couple of people wacking a slow looping shuttle back and fourth; there is actually quite alot of strategy, skill and technique involved. This is just a short example of the kinds of rally's you can have. Theres also a reason badminton is the number 2 sport played in the world behind soccer.
Anyways, sorry for getting offtopic, I just kind of get riled up when people needlessly "diss" badminton :P
In any case, I definitely wouldn't pay anything at all for TOR. To me it hasn't looked THAT compelling, I'm a fan of bioware's work but TOR just hasn't seemed that captivating to me. To start I should say I don't play MMOs at all though, I tried WoW for a month and it was alrite but certainly not worth 15/month in my eyes. The closest I've come to playing MMOs is Guild Wars (over 1500 hours played) and that is hardly an MMO.
