WOW.. $99.99 for a 360 wireless adapter.. Really Microsoft?

Ok seriously, whats with MS charging so much for their accesories?.. The only logical conclusion i can think of is they lost so much money in the past on the 3 year extended warranty and the RROD that they have to overprice the accessories and pass the costs on to consumers buying these things.. I mean come on, even the most hardcore 360 fans have to think $99.99 for a wireless adapter is just outrageous!

On top of that if you want wireless for your 360 you HAVE to buy the MS one, the 360 doesnt allow any 3rd party accessories.. it wouldnt be as bad if you could also buy off brand wireless for cheaper but with the 360 you cant so you have no choice but to pay $99.99..

I mean that costs half of what a whole Wii console costs, which BTW has built in Wifi. I mean just think about this for a second, $99.99 for wireless adapter, $150.00 Hard drive and one year of Xbox live and that alone all costs $300.00, and that doesnt even include the 360 console itself! Anyone else find this to be ridicoulous?

I mean does noone else find it crazy that a 120 GB HDD, Wireless adapter and just 1 year of Xbox live all costs the same as a whole PS3 console alone! I mean even if you factor in the arcade 360 that brings total costs to $500.00! and you still dont get blu ray.. crazy

on a serious note, why couldnt the 360 just have built in wifi? would it really be that hard.. I mean a Wii and DS have it for god sakes.

since this is a complaint thread I wanna complain about Sony on how I had to buy an HDMI cable and a wireless bluetooth headset and since they decided rumble was last gen then changed their mind I had to buy a new controller

Which pisses me off because my power supply just went bad and now I can either get an Elite(I need the HDD space anyway, and the black is sexy, but it's $300) or buy a third-party power brick(which voids my warranty and I don't trust after-market products, but it won't cost me $300). The worst part, I just got about $250 for my birthday that I was going to use on Darksiders, Dante's inferno, and Heavy Rain, but now I might have to use on a new 360.

Talk about late.. If what your trying to get at is that MS peripherals are over priced, I think everyone already knows (it's not a secret). I personally could care less and would not game wirelessly. And any comsumer who's not an idiot would research and know what their getting into. Not like some COW who say everyone buys a 360 gets home and realizes they have to buy this or that. Guess what if it mattered to them they could just return it and buy a PS3. Um, you dont have to use the MS one, I have 1 friend who uses a logitec network extender thing and another friends who uses the wireless adapter for his original xbox on his 360 and that is third party as well. but you are right $100 is insane, they learned too much from Sony last gen...lol

Can I upgrade the PS3 wifi adapter to the updated N standard like the 360? Or are you stuck with the outdated built in wifi connection?

Think that's bad wait till you see the hard drive, VGA cable, Wireless controller,memory card, andalmost every other accessory price.

You can plug the 360 ethernet cable directly into your router if it's close to your 360.

Or you can do what I do and make an Bridge between the 360 and my Desktop PC that has a wireless adapter on it:
