56k is skinny compared to other speeds. Ya know? I mean 56k compared to 56 Mbs which is fatter now? :P

Oh and... looks good. A bit the same to be honest, but with some touch ups and a tone down on the plasticity of things to make them look more "real" now...

GeoW2 on the surface, looks practically identical to GeoW1.

However, uppon closer inspection, the lighting is MUCH better (something that I didn't like about the first). That alone makes it look better. There is also a good bit more attention spent on textures and detail.

It looks great, and is a clear upgrade over the first. But I dare say it's still not "hands down" the best looking console shooter, because Resistance 2 also improved by leaps and bounds over the first game.

GeoW 1 was clearly the best looking console game when it came out, and even held that title up against the PS3's launch titles, and for most of the year (untill Bioshock/Uncharted (depending on how you look at it) came out)

GeoW2 isn't as big of an improvement (It looks texturealy/lighting-wise just like UT 3) over everything else on the market, and is going up against tough competition, like Uncharted, MGS4, R2, LBP (well, sorta, but more for fun gameplay than graphics), and even Banjo-Kazooie (along with a few other 360 titles.. L4D etc) and even multiplats like Far Cry 2, all of which are looking to be excelent competition for Gears.

So, my final pre-release verdict:

GeoW2 will probably score AAA, and be an amazing fun title, with Online Multiplayer that will last for at least a year (untill next years MS trump card comes out). But a "console graphics king"? probably not.0rin

Anyways 56k is generally put for pictures because anyone on such a speed (why?) would practically suffer to a long load time for their computer to download the pics and bring up this thread.

i love gears, but i'm not biased to a console. Gears 2 looks similar, all i really see is improved lighting and added foliage to enviroements.

no brainer that epic pushed the console with the first gears. but that doesn't mean their isn't improvement, just nothing big.

having played all, MGSIV & Uncharted are better than Geow (console version) graphically... not saying anything against Geow cause its a great game and its sequel looks promising...
