I beleive the TC was refering more to "graphics gameplay online weapons fun intensity" than sales. Some companies would kill to have a game like Psychonauts that was ace and didn't sell at all well but owned on every other level.

I've played both games...they are both great but IMO Halo 3 delivers a much better experience. Record/play/save, The Forge, 4 player coop...no next gen or even last gen console game offers this set of features. Also, I believe Bungie is the absolute best in terms of support for their games. Users can send screenshots to their pc and share them, or they can share video's and Forge maps as well. And only a little over a month after release and they are already getting close to releasing new maps. IW fails in comparison.

Sorry, I must have read the TC's post and not just the title. I clearly read too far in to what was actually being said. I don't actually see the word sales in the opening post yet you persist in saying that sales that will not rock Bungie. Fair enough the word "everything" suceeded my quote but I was referring to graphics gameplay etc elements that supposedly make a game good.

Technically, Bungie and IW would care about me and all the other consumers who bought their games because that is how they make their money :)

Heck, if any console FPS this holiday will compete with Halo 3 it will be COD 4. It won't sell as much, duh its Halo, but its a competitor and will certainly make a bundle as with the last 3 CODs made under IW (good or bad).

The only thing I can think of is the progression in mulitplayer. The perks are something that Halo 3 doesn't have. Maybe the intesity of the campaign.

Other than that, Halo 3 still have 4 player co-op, Forge and the Theater.

No... COD4 is enjoying it's honeymoon period just like Halo 3 did. At the end of the day, I think Halo 3 still has much wider mass appeal.
