I thought it was a funny joke.
I get what you're trying to say when the Regenerating Health part came up.
thing is when you go back to the original its heavily dated and its far from being dumbed down.
aint even that good a trollin :P
Yeah, they have.
Still, I prefer *this* kind of dumbing down rather than what has been done for the Dragon Age, Crysis or Elder Scrolls franchises. Human Revolution is still a great game although a PC lead design would have unarguably yielded much better results.

thing is it was lead primarily on PC was it not? the UI's were designed for the PC seprately and from what i hear its fairly optimized and runs well on the PC.
Deus Ex HR keeps all the core bits of Deus ex (what i remember) and streamlines some aspects which by nowadays standards are seen as outright archaic.
Except for ME, no way in hell ;)N30F3N1XOblivion is the best TES game, and Fallout 3 is the best Fallout . So yes.

Oblivion and Fallout 3 are both the worst games in the series put in their time context. And are both absolutely horrible game. So no.

I don't base my judgement on games based on what you think, though, but on what I think :!: So unless you have a better argument than your own opinion to imply that mine is wrong, I'm going to stand by my previous statement.

You should actually base what you like off of my opinion. And my opinion dictates that Fallout 3 and Oblivion were fantastic games

With your standards? No idea.
With mine? Well, they're perfectly fine, since I'm having a lot of fun this gen, and having fun with the games I play is all matters to me :D

And sold a lot less... it would have been unappealing to most gamers.
[QUOTE="IronBass"]
Indeed. And just like TES, Fallout, Mass Effect, etc, it's better because of it.
Jankarcop
and all better on PC ;)
Doesn't change the fact that console gaming has done more to improve PC gaming than elitists like to admit.
and all better on PC ;)JankarcopIndeed. Not that it matters, though, since they're still basically the same game I can play on a much cheaper console, so that's a plus for me.

What has this generation done to our standards  ...
It's ok for developers to make games less complex and dumb down elements..just along as the make it fun so it can win many GOTY awards and become "cool" ^^ That is where this industry is heading. All this time I thought human programmers were creating games and putting them on different electroninc devices. I was not aware the 360, and PS3 made the games themselves without human involvement. Wow! They really can do everything.
So consoles are people with their own minds, financial backgrounds and business decisions now?
Blaming objects for the problems of today's gaming industry are we?
People fight over 3 fps here when it comes to consoles. You're at the wrong forums to say considerably bigger differences don't matter.Jankarcop
This is a forum in which we are supposed to express our personal opinions. Just because some people care about minor differences it doesn't mean I'm the wrong place for not caring. After all, forums are based on people having different opinions :!:
So no, I'm not in the wrong forum, and I stand by previous statement.

Exactly! That's exactly what makes this gen an awesome one :D

because it has more games that require less brain power?....whatever floats your boat.because it has more games that require less brain power?....whatever floats your boat.lawlessxNo, because developers are focusing their efforts in making a game fun (as you said), and fun is the most important part of gaming ^_^
or ruined? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoFe8hRy42o Horrible gameplay. Even JC Denton can't escape it.Masterrace1
I guess somone was on PC gamer earlier today and felt the need to make a new account to troll on instead of playing and enjoying DEUS EX: HR like everybody else, and then writing to EIDOS about serious changes they could make for the next one. But you won't because your full of ****

Consider it this way. Eidos and SE were investing millions into a large project that's *infinitely more complex than the average game, and juggling trying to tap into the current mainstream 'core' market, as well as keep to the spirit of Deus Ex. Honestly it's unbelievable the game turned out as it has, even if it has its quibbles. Imagine if it was like X-Com.Yeah, they have.
