Wow, GTA4 is awesome...

For the longest time I thought it was just a mediocre overrated game. I had played it at my friend's house when it just came out for like 2-3 hours, singleplayer and online and just came to the conclusion that it sucked ass and tried to be too realistic with stuff like car control.

Anyways, I just borrowed it from a friend and its amazing. I've put in like 25 hours in it and I really really like it. I guess you have to get into it a little. So yeah, if your like me and only played it a couple hours and hated it, put a bit more time in it, if you dont like it then, I guess its just not for you.

One thing I have noticed though, and am wondering if anyone else did too, it looks amazing in the day time but it doesnt look so good at night, anyone else think that?

So yeah, amazing game, specially with all the little details and stuff in it that really create a really sweet atmosphere.

Yep its a great game. Hardcore gamers are just hard to please, and they have the attention span of lab rats. GTA4 is a awsome game...I just need to end it.

Yeah I know, another reason why I probably began to dislike it so much is because I visited these forums...lol. Like I didnt like it and stuff when I played it and then I read all this bad stuff about it here and I guess it just helped me formulate a pretty bad opinion of the game.

Another lesson, System Wars has pretty stupid opinions.

Did you notice what I asked though, about how it looks mad good in day but not so good in the night, specially when your going really fast at night?

i like the theme of gta better...but crackdown controls how gta should of controlled.

crackdown's gameplay is way better....not to mention dude who made crackdown actually made gta LOL

if gta has crackdowns controls it wouldnt suck....but gta's controls are outdated and game suffers

It was pretty good. I skipped SA and VC, but I didn't like IV as much as 3. I put in countless hours on GTAIII, but on IV there was absolutely nothing worthwhile left to do after about 25.Couth_

I dont usually let kids play Mature games, but my wife had her nephew over and hes 15 years old and kept asking to play GTA4. I let him play, HIS parents let him play other GTA games....so he wanted to see what GTA4 was like. Soon as he got on the game he was BORED....with the STORY. He didnt pay attention to the start with Niko talking to his cousin or anything. As soon as he could he rushed out of the apartment without watching the tv or anything or looking around. He ran outside and was peeved that he didnt have a gun to start. He started punching guys in the street, and he managed to get a gun and started shooting at people.

He jumped into a car and drove as fast as he could down the street crashed and jumped out running etc. Overall, He was disapointed with it. Dont mention the part where he had to pick up a girl to take her on a date. OMG..he was hating it then. It wasnt long before we were playing NBA 2K again.

Yeah...GTA does not have some of the things that guys loved about the game. If you want to do random ridiculous stuff get Saints Row 2. You can still do a great deal of crazy things in GTA4. Some of the complaints about the game are beyond me. The slower pace of the game was appreciated by me. I would surf the web, take friends on dates and stuff with no hassle. Its the guys who want to run around the city an cause Mayhem 24/7 who didnt like the game very much IMO.

I especially remember chasing 2 bikers, I murdered the first in about 5 seconds, but I had to follow the 2nd on for about 5 minutes before I could kill him. II-FBIsniper-II, I've noticed that people complained about the missions on here, and I agree with them though there are many missions that are fun and there's some that bore me as well.
