Pretty subjective though. I liked Gears 1 for it's non-stop action above story gameplay. Gears 2 tried to pull off a shakespear but it just ruined the experience for me. I prefered the less emotional approach to war in Gears 1. When Carmine died, he just died. That's the way war is. People you know just die, you move along. In Gears 2, we had that wussy Carmine and his melodramatic 'tell my mom i fought bravely' garbage from hollywood movies. Dom weeping over his wife and all that stuff. It was ruined for me. But that's just me.

I can agree with this.Gameplay wise,I still prefer the second one though.

I think he was comparing JUST the gameplay, not how good he felt the individual games were.
I didn't like KZ2 at first but about 2/3 through the game I got use to the aiming controls and the game became really fun. I actually was very upset when it ended. I thought there was an epic feel to the battles especially near the end.I loved fighting Radec at the end and actually got a trophy for killing himless than 15 minutes.I will definitely be getting KZ3. I'm probably a little bit below average for FPS player so would I enjoy the mulitplayer or would it just be futile for me to try since I will just die over and over before killing people? I have only played online R6V2, R2 and Uncharted 2 beta. I think I did the best in R2 co-op but I know that is different than multiplayer.

I just finished beating the game on veteran since it was the only difficulty I'd not completed and I have to admit I forgot how entertaining and intricate the game was. I find the MP to be a bit busy for my liking.
I love the game, its probably my favorite shooter this gen and I've played just about all of them. (well the good ones anyway) and the MP is my favorite so far. THe other day I realized how I missed the cover system while playing EfBB/AoDA. Because KZ2 has a really damn good FPS cover system. I really like it and wish a smaller MP mode was available with it in it. Maybe 16 total type game match.
Really awesome game, only competition I see is from BC2 or MAG only because their modern shooters which I have a soft spot for but aren't all nooby.
Halo 3 > Killzone 2. Killzone 2 is an overrated waste of time that MERELY got graphics. NO WONDER it was HALO 3 that scored higher. NO WONDER it was HALO 3 that sold millions in a day. NO WONDER it's HALO 3 that is played by a million users on a daily basis 2 years after release. NO WONDER... Eh... You get my point. Killzone aint got no chance!
I bought KZ2 recently for a good FPS multiplayer fix, and the game is fun, but there is sometimes some really bad lag.. guys will take forever to kill, and there have been times where I was shooting someone, died, and then a couple seconds later the guy I was shooting at dies from a headshot by me.
If I had a more consistent connection, it'd be very fun...
Killzone is good, but not yet great. But I'm glad to see people do appreciate it, because it does do some things quite well. To me, I see right through it: its Team Fortress, rated M. If you like TF, you'll love KZ2 multiplayer.

I'm to chapter 6, a couple of hours in, and I'm enjoying myself quite a bit. Gonna beat it this weekend, I can tell you my overall thoughts then :o Lol, k. I should trade in Oblivion and get it.
