Wow, ninja gaiden really is one of the best action games ever

Im right at the end in normal mode, but before I finaly finish I want the final scarab im missing.

Its easily one of the finest games ever. Whats astounding is Team Ninja transformed from the originals and got it almost perfect first time in 3D, and then got it perfect with the black version.

The weired thing is, I found the ghost Duku boss hard at first, then when I came back to the boss months and months later I beat him in two goes with the maxed Dabilahro.

You're nuts. I bought it the other day, I think I'm on stage 5. Theres no tutorial (good idea). It is ****ing hard. Maybe I'm just not playing it right? The camera is frustrating, and also the fact that enemies re spawn if you look down an alley or in a crevice. Weak. Kinda wished I'd bought Pirates now lol...

God of War 1 & 2 was much more fun IMO.

Much easier might be the term you are looking for.

Well I liked all 3 , but NG was clearly the more skilled game. Thank goodness for skills, ay.

People always say NG requires more skill, yet when playing Sigma I found myself repeating the aerial dash attack over and over.

That worked in the original NG on the Xbox, but I don't know what they did to sigma but you can't use that move as well in NGB, and if your skilled against normal enemys its far more effective to mix up the combo, then to just do the flying attack.

i love the caracter and the way he moves ect.

BUT WHAT I HATED ABOUT NGS WAS THAT THE FIRST LEVEL WAS SO GREAT IN DETAIL, THE TREES, SCENARY ECT.

THEN BAM THE REST OF THE GAME YOUR IN A TOWN AND FEW CAVES IT GOT ME BORED AND HATED LOOKING AT IT.

I HOPE THE SECOND IS MORE OF THE FIRST LEVEL SCENERY.

I still like the game but it bummed me out that only the first level was so good looking and not stail.

i think it's cuz it can be countered by some enemies in black....

love ninja gaiden and only play on the hardest settin', i love GoW as well, but the thing i think that GoW has over NG is the epicness and the story. DMC (imo) was just plain annoyin'.

wondering how come noone talks about onimusha anymore, i used to love those games, but there was no goin' back to it after playing ninja gaiden...

There are scarabs you can't backtrack to get if you missed them (examples: on the airship, in the military base). There's a pretty good chance you missed one that you won't be able to find.

if you're talking about flying swallow on sigma, try playing on very hard. you will get gang raped if you try to pull that move on enemy commandos

Well, I was never really trying. It was more like I got them when they were around, and I looked about a bit, and then I said, "this is boring" and killed endboss.

I cant rember the exact number but if its 100 I think I got bored at 73, I somehow remember that.

I only tried a couple times but I definately got bored with it. Also the fairys in mojoras mask, they were hard, worse you were on limited time, frustating. Man Nintendo love their hide and seek elements.

It's weird that this topic came up..While I was playing DMC 4 last night I was wondering why NG, a game that came out 3(?) years ago on a last gen platform plays SO much better than the current version of DMC.

I swear DMC 4 seems like it was designed 5 years ago. I don't hate DMC 4, in fact, I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but I really don't get some Japanese game designers love for a busted camera system. It just sucks all of the win out of a game. and what's up with Nero moving like he's stuck in syrup or something? Ryu's moves are so fast and tight, It's a sheer pleasure to play with the character. I wish more people would use that philosophy, rather than trying to use artificial means to make a game harder or create atmosphere.

i think i like both equally, but for different reasons

im loving the challange of ng...and its got ninjas

You may be right. I only played through the first level 2 or 3 times but couldn't get myself to keep playing. I really wanted to like this game since everyones always talking about it here but it was putting me to sleep. The characters, story direction, level design all were crap imo. The gameplay was great when I first started playing but then it got really old really fast. Maybe I'll give this game another shot before NG2 comes out.

if you want the full experience of NG1 then you need to play sigma. most content and best graphics, with all bugs fixed. sucks NG2 wont be on ps3ski11buzz

Sigma has many spots that require loading where the xbox version didnt.

Sigma simplifies or completely removes many puzzles. At least in normal mode.

Sigma has antaliasing but the bloom is overused. It loses the sharpness of the original. I actually like the look of the xbox version more.

NG was puttin' u to sleep??...well, i gotta tell u that unless gettin' ur a$$ whooped makes u tired, u shouldn't take sleep-inducing drugs before playing the game.

I was thinking of getting it, but then again, I could wait for NG2 or just get Sigma if I get a PS3. Not to mention I've yet to by Psychonauts :ofunnymario

God hand still rules all. But yeah NG is damn fun if you want a challenge. I rank em GH > NG > DMC >>>> GoW. Never really cared for God of War, didn't see the appeal. And it was a pretty novice action game imo.Kook18

i used to play the old nes ng games back in the day, but i somehow missed out on ng when it first came out on the xbox

i heard it was great, but for some reason i just kept putting off playing it

anyway, i just dl'ed ngb off of xbl today, and i gotta say, it really is one of the best action games ever. i havent gotten very far into it yet, but from what ive played, its been awesome

and im rather glad to see that the difficulty somewhat lives up to the hype. thus far, its not that hard but i get the feeling that its going to very soon
