WOW OMG IGN said MGS4 deserves an 11 instead of 10/10!

They just scored it high because the game is so epic (in presentation and story) and I think they let some negative issues with the game slide.

Just how GeOW got rated waaay high for having nice graphics and chainsaw, even though the game felt like it was half finished.

Are you serious? Gamespot is the biggest joke of all game critics to date. Have you read their material? They are being written by 7th grade challenge english students.

Why do you think Gamespot never reviews early anymore? No one wants them. Hell, they haven't even reviewed one of the biggest games of the generation yet -- and it's already been released.

Its in an old thread of mine. Just after the IGN haze review came out. I debated if we use IGNs scores all the time here at GS. He was one of the first to post in that thread.

I personally would give this game a 9sp or a 8mp

i'm not surprised at the ign score. They give resistance and folklore AAA scores as well. They'll overrate anything

I'm putting a lot more faith in the Gamespot review though. They're not afraid of upsetting publishers like Rupert Murdich's IGN

This game seems like one of those love it or hate kind of games. If you are a fan of the series, it's the best thing since in-door plumbing. If you are not it's meh.DireOwl

Not really, my cousin is a first time MGS owner, and he is a big splinter cell fan. I told him if he didnt want to bother playing the first 3 then go to game trailers and watch the retro videos of MGS. He watched them last week and made his girl go wait in line at gamestop for him for the midnight launch since he worked graveyard, and he came over to me today and said he just finished the first chapter and is amazed at what the game had to offer, from intense battles, stealth, weapons upgrades, amazing cut scenes and the most detailed game he has ever seen this next gen. And he also told me how in the hell did I ever not once ever play this series and is going to finish MGS4 but he also wants to go back and play through the series and then play MGS4 again. So far he is been blown away and says he didnt know what to expect when he first seen the trailer of how MGS4 looked like a movie but the first chapter alone has blown him away. U dont believe me his PSN ID is VivaLaTom Add my cousin and mine is VivaLaBo

It's alright man, I believe you. I haven't played the game at all. I just going off of what the reviewers said and other system wars posters.

I'm not even an MGS fan (died for me after 2), but this is good news for cows. Finally, an AAAE game for the PS3! Totally unexpected to me.

it isn't a 10.. It may be great but not a 10. and looking back, neither was GTA4. Just like with GTA4 IGN sort of got over excited and overrated the game.

MGS4 will probably be a 9.5 or a 9.0 from Gamespot. If it gets a 10... well. Fine.
