WOW Pikmin 3 is quite the looker (56K)

The game will still be boring as hell , but you can't deny that's it looks nice.

It wasn't the best thing I'd ever seen, but it still impressed me. I don't know what it is about it and why people are hatin on it. Is it because it doesn't look realistic? Well always remember Realistic=/=Better. They manage to keep the style of the old game yet still push it forward graphically

Some of you guys just don't seem to realise this is a PIKMIN game. It's all about walking mushroom-things killing your army of plants pulled put of the ground, not amazing graphics. In fact, it is right where it should be.

Looks ok ..it does have certain Wii Visual feel to it, must be the result of its early development on Wii. I like the look of organic leafs though

Welcome to the current gen Nintendo Fans. I'm sure the Wii U will surpass the 360 and PS3 graphically in it's lifetime, but that looks no better than the current PS3 and 360 games and PC games blow that away.

I like how people act like it is so shocking but they forget this was developed on the Wii for 3 years before it moved to Wii U. Does Ghost Recon Shadow Wars show all of what the 3DS can do just because it started as a DS game?

It does look sweet in motion and I can't wait to play and find out what happened to Olimar.

The problem is some of the textures look like they came straight out of the wii (because they did). I'm confident they'll upgrade the graphics a lot more though.

I can't believe I'msaying his, but that picture doesn't have any AA and I think Pikmin does. So, that is one thing. Then again, 360 games have changed.

the game looks pretty ugly.. i think it was mentioned in this thread already...but it looks like it was developed as a wii game and then they changed it to wii u.

They did do that. Also, I've only seen issue with the ground/wall textures. I've learned so much at System Wars that I don't know if I ever wanted to.

Batman looked worse. Seems like shader effects were dumbed down. I think its because of the WiiU Gamepad rerendering everything on the second screen. Either that or UE3 isn't fully optimized for WiiU yet.

That's opinion though, because I disagree, I never really liked the Viva Pinata look, other than the grass. I just can't see anyone saying a game looks bad artistically. Maybe dull, for something brown/gray, but bad?

I agree that Viva Pinata looks better than Pikmin 3. Pikmin is the most over-rated Nintendo property they have. Even Batallion Wars is better.

If your standards for Nintendo are so low that you have to pretend Pikmin3 looks better than games like F-Zero GX, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory or God Of War 2 than that is your problem.

It looks like Pikmin on the Gamecube with HD graphics. Boring textures, lame water effects, boring gameplay, and stupid little sperm men who make the same irritating noises every other Nintendo character makes. Then again the little sperm is probably what Sheep are attracted too because I cannot think of another reason to hype this game....

It looks better than the 360/PS3 launch titles. I will give it that.
