WOW PS3 has no BIG games for Fall of 2010 Is PS3 slowly going to be discontinued

the start of 2010 has some amazing games coming out.. Heavy Rain, GOW 3 and GT5 but Sony has NOTHING announced for fall or winter of 2010.. This really worries me because MS already has Halo Reach and Fable 3 for winter 2010 while the PS3 has nothing announced big for 2010.. we all know that any big names announced at E3 usually arent released the winter of that same year, I really hope sony announces some great games for Winter 2010, atleast Resistance 3 or Killzone 3 to go against Halo reach.. Do you think Sony is slowly phasing out the PS3 and will discontinue it next year?

Delayed games, announced games like Resistance 3, The Last Guardian, White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy 14 (PC/PS3), etc.

Yes, Sony just dropped to $299 made a Slim, has had two fantastic gaming years in a row, but they are calling it quits mid 2010. :lol:

If Bamco decides to localize the PS3 Tales of Vesperia, that'll add one more to the list. We may hear about this around March of 2010. That's the only future release I'm really hyped for.

I believe Treyarch's next Call of Duty game will be that last great ps3 game released for that system. Irrelevancy is in the ps3's future. 360 4 EVAR!

I dont know if any other dev for Sony has something unannounced. Rare will Release something for MS 360 but to me it seems anything 2010 from Sony or MS wont be bigger than GOW, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2,Halo Reach and GT5

I think both of us take gaming way to serious to exaggerate about something like that.

Howard Stringer called me crying his eyes out shortly after the release of the Nov. npd numbers. He was in a panic. I kept having to tell him, "We love you, Howard. We're never gonna let anything bad happen to the PS3." Sad having to lie to friends like that.

Some recent ps3 history -

• Resistance 2 and Motorstorm Pacific Rift announcedearly 2008 , releasedq4 2008
• Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank ACiT announcedearly 2009 , released q42009

4 studios that are prime candidates fora similarannouncement before E3 (and possible 2010 release)

1. Insomniac - one game a year studio , a 2010 game will not surprise anyone
2. Evolution Studios - doesn't seem to take them long to pump out racing game- Motorstorm Pacific Rift released October 2008. I wouldn't mind seeing them take a crack at Pursuit Force since BigBigdid a Motorstorm game for the PSP. Ha !Pursuit Force 4D !
3. Eat Sleep Play - last game was Twisted Metal released in February of 2008
4. Lightbox - last game those guys worked on was Warhawk/expansions before forming their new studio. They have been doing Dog and Pony shows with Sony execs along with Eat Sleep Play.

Some other possibilities -

• Rockstar is claiming 2010 for Agent which would help out Sony in 2010 , but who knows with the way they release games and this mysterious title in question.
• The Last Guardian - hard to say
• Killzone3 - unlikely ifInsomniac has Resistance 3 ready to rolland are shooting for November already..... but I'm sure they could rush Killzone 3 if this isn't the case.

Only time will tell.
