This game is not even out yet.. and it already getting positive reviews who actually played the game so far:D
From GameSpy
"Thanks to some cutting-edge technological innovations, Killzone 2 is one of the best looking games we've seen this year, and we don't just mean on the PlayStation 3. The lighting effects are particularly impressive, especially the sunlight. We found ourselves stopping just to admire the view from time to time when the light streamed through smoke or the dusty air. There's also just the right amount of motion blur which, when combined with Guerrilla's anti-aliasing techniques, give it a realistic look. Our only little visual qualm is with the design itself, which relies heavily on grays and, er, darker grays. A bit of color here and there wouldn't hurt, although we understand why the designers chose this drab palette. "
It's actually these seemingly insignificant sequences that really show what an impressive experience Killzone 2 could potentially be. The action is consistently presented from the first-person perspective, and the surprisingly realistic character animations and environments make you feel like you're actually in Sev's shoes
We don't know if this preview (or the other ones hitting the internet in the coming days) is going to kick start the same hype machine that submarined the first Killzone, but this actually one case in which a game can deliver on some hype. We're not about to say that Killzone 2 is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it's certainly more impressive than its predecessor and looks to be one of the best PlayStation 3 titles we've seen to date. Of course, we still know next to nothing about the game's multiplayer or co-op offerings, although we were told that there will be a "significant" multiplayer component.
