Eh. graphics? I would have thought the first hurdle would have been gameplay. So basically this game consists of driving around in a dodgy looking jeep, in a dodgy looking rendition of Africa,occasionally stopping to jump out and take dodgy lookingphotographs playing as some dodgy looking woman, and that's what the entire game is about? :| Really the first thing you brought up was the graphics?
Ever since Bioshockownz bought himself a PS3 he's putting up the non-biased act. Pretty well too usually. But in this thread it definately shows that at heart he's still a fanboy. :D (b.t.w. before he owned a PS3 he was one of the most notoriously biased lemmings around this board)
OT: Since Afrika is basically Pokemon Snap without the Pokemon, and Pokemon Snap really sucked, I'm not in the least interested in this game. But, from what I've seen from it, the visuals are outstanding (although the ground textures could indeed be better).

Well, this is a lame attempt on bashing a PS3 exclusive by Bioshockownz - graphically it looks great. Not the best game ever seen but still better than some. Still, gameplay wise - it seems boring.
Watched the HD E3 interview video and I still thought the ground textures looked horrid. The game itself though is so pokemon snap in style that while I'm completely disinterested in it, I'm simultaneously curious to see more.
Honestly this game just doesnt appeal to me even if it had the Holy Grail Crysis graphics. I still dont think the graphics are what they should be since it doesnt contain much gameplay. (Im referring to the HD video I watched, as most people should be able to tell that, the other vid is compressed.
TC (at least to me) has come across as one of the few guys around that actually posts just his opinion on games. Quite a few of the haters fail at that part quite miserably. Video is uncommpressed but honestly, who, that posts here, is uninformed or somehow swayed by one thread. ground textures are kinda sucky though considering this is a photography game.....
I've seen the game in action, import. Localization wouldn't hurt the game that bad or at all. The ground textures aren't amazing but they really are not that bad. As the others said, it's a compressed video in standard quality. I do enjoy your posts from time to time but I do think you try to nitpick too much than you should. I'm not trying to say that to insult or demean what kind of poster you are but it really does seem that way sometimes.
In all fairness, this game has been out for awhile as an import. It isn't going to be up to par with a lot of the new releases. It's not going to sell well and only people who are remotely interested in animals or photography may find it enjoyable. Only reason I'm probably going to pick it up is for a friend of mine who's interests lie with hopefully a careers in and or around that area. He can't wait for the NA release.
Well, I suppose we could sit here and compose a list of many games for both the PS3 and 360 that do not look so hot. It is not like this is being hailed as some top shelf lock in for AAA and possibly some GOTY nominations anyway, lol. It is just some off the wall niche game that is just now making it's way to the states and will mainly appeal to a minority of the PS3 user base. Anyone who actually thinks this is ammo against the PS3 is really grasping for straws....to put it mildly.
If you like to so much why don't you stay there? I get so sick of people who subtley make refrences to four ch@n on here, as if it makes them edgy and cool or something.

It's like a Safari sim not really a game. I think only a few people would find something like this appealing but I'm all for originality to keep the gaming world with fresh ideas.
Save it from what? :lol: Nothing can save it. Your a very spitefull fanboy arent you?. I actually got to play the game at a very small game show in rome a few months back and you dont have anything to worry about graphicswise it looks amazing in motion the fluidity of the animation is amazing.
I love how long the load was for such a small space and I especially love how the guy in the back of the vehicle doesn't seem to react one single move of the Jeep. :lol: Teh powa of da CELL!!!! :lol:

cows were hyping the visuals of the game when it was first announced. They may deny it now, but you could not enter SW without seeing several threads talking about how "life like" the game looked. :lol:
