Xbox 360, 4. PS3, 0!

It cost a $100 more and still performs worse. -.-

If you read the hole article you will stumble on the tools and it has nothing to do with that the games looks better on the Xbox its hardware. Try do get that !!

Even alot of developers have gone mad over Sonys Cell:cry:

Alot of games even seems to get delayed due to problem with cell why do PS3 games lock less good if the hardware is rocking in PS3 ??

heard the catchphrase wait and see from Sony well i think the truth have catch up to Sony.

Read:

Teams are always used for making games. I think its easier to make better-looking games for Xbox360 then PS3.

1. The asymmetric design of Cell requires assembler-level insturctions and microprogramming to fully utilize and divvy up the resources and make up for Cell's ring bus. XCPU does not require that, although it does require multi-threading on six threads.

2. Three fully-pipelined VMX/Altivec (Xbox360) units have at least as good performance as 7 ring-bus-connected SPEs and one VMX/Altivec (Cell) unit for most real-world applications. XCPU has much higher CPU to Cache bandwidth then Cell, and is a better processor for high-bandwidth applications.

3. The XNA framework provides extensive class libraries which streamline game-making which the PS3 doesn't have. Xbox360 games will continue to improve. There's a relatively steep learning curve for programming in six threads. The XGPU is very versatile and can implement a wide range of game engines. ----------

Well hands down PC will allways have the upperhand due to the hardware, i work with them every day (hardware freak)

But i love to just sitt down and get that console felling with PS3 or my Xbox.

Also the Xbox is coming with a new uppgraded version called "Jasper" foor better cooling/silence should make it better for the 360 owners on the repair front.

The Xbox pro 60gb also seems to have the new "FalconV2" board with memory on the back of the m-board for better cooling and also a 65nm cpu.

Seem like MS has taken action againt costly repairs :D

[QUOTE="mr-swede"][QUOTE="-DrRobotnik-"]Its nothing to do with power. So lems dont use your superior multiplats as a way to argue the 360 is the more powerful system, because thats BS. Its because the architecture on the PS3 is considerably more complicated and requires a lot more effort to achieve something equal to that of the PC or 360. And cows also need to learn to accept that many devs won't be prepared to put in the time and effort to get both versions identical, especially considering the PS3 version will sell anyway regardless of a few graphical or framerate hitches. rogelio22
Sorry to say that the PS3 is in fact less powerfull the 360 simply has the edge in 99% of cases, the few instances where ps3 can eek out an advantage visually, other areas suffer as a result (because Cell shouldnt be doing the work of a GPU, it should be 100% devoted to AI, Animation and Physics, as well as general game code). Ratchet and Clank has an absurd amount of geometry and a few nice effects, but there isnt alot else going on, much like the ratchet games of last gen. I fully believe that 90% of the shoddy multiplatform ports on the ps3 are shoddy due to lack of proper effort, but i also fully believe that you can do much more overall on the 360 than you can do on ps3. Gears of War isnt possible on ps3, ps3 doesnt support 3Dc (4:1 normal map compression). So youd need to be able to hold 700+ megs of normal maps, where that can fit in maybe 175 - 200 megs on 360. Likewise you cant pull off something that eats insane amounts of fillrate on ps3 as welll as you can on 360, at least if you want to use AA and HDR along with them. (on ps3/G70 based nvidia chips, 4x AA halves fillrate, and FP16 HDR halves it as well, youd be looking at 1Gpixel fillrate i believe, if using both of those at once). On 360 youd be looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of over 3Gpixel/sec left using FP10 HDR and 4xAA?

uhh are you on CRACK!!! GEARS is so possible on ps3 its not that impressive!!! you obviously havent played a ps3 exclusive while gears throughs only 4 or 5 enemies at you at once ps3 resistance 2 throughs 30 enemies at you.stop smoking CRACK!!!

Wow you sure owned that guy

... if it was all about multiplats, the 360 is definately the better system.mstc_Q
Luckily for PS3 and Xbox 360 owners - it's not all about multiplatform games. Anyone who says the PS3 stinks hasn't taken into account any of its great exclusives, and anyone who says the Xbox 360 sucks either has had theirs go RROD on them, hates paying for XBL or hasn't taken into account the great exclusives. I have both, so I can go for multiplatforms on whichever console they are better on (which admittedly is generally Xbox 360). Despite this, I prefer the PS3 exclusives and whilst I love a bit of Gears of War 2 and Halo 3, I can't get enough of Resistance 2, LBP and/or Warhawk.
