actually the PSP did bring gaming out of the handheld ghetto. competition from the PSP help boost the DS to be more sucessful. anyways great first system by Sony.Â

he is a voice actor, a narrator. and its basically the same theory behind BrainAge. IQ tests and things like BrainAge and Hot Brain are nothing more then a relative assement of your intelligent. they are not accurate or percise at all.Â

How can people call the PSP a faiulre when it has sold half the number of units of what the DS has sold? That's pretty good, considering that it's new to the market and it costs more.

Nope, Brainage has proof. Studies shows that the game works and the man behind brainage is Dr. Kawashima, a famous Japanese neuroscientist. Where's HotBrain proof?

is hot brain even out yet sir? how can i give you proof for a game that isn't even out yet? like i said, same basic theory, you do a variety of mental excercises to keep your mind sharp. video games in general help the brain(maybe not morally lol), you get improved hand-eye cordination.

2) ike i said, same basic theory, you do a variety of mental excercises to keep your mind sharp. video games in general help the brain(maybe not morally lol), you get improved hand-eye cordination.
1) Brainage did have proof even before the game came out. The game is based on a successful book in Japan titled Train Your Brain: 60 Days to a Better Brain and the author of the book is no other then the neuroscientist Dr. Kawashima! The creator of Brainage!
2) No evidence.
Â
Brain Age was a garbage game, I dont see what the big deal is about it (yes, I have played it). Plus Sony didn't make this game. Midway did. Sheep... :roll:payforaday
I found Brainage to be very interesting and a little helpful.

Well, we don't need a famous professor but your right. We need to know if they did at least research and studies for HotBrain.

Just like the Xbox was a failure? Sony was just getting into the handheld market regardless of results. The next iteration they'll try to take over, just like 360 is now.

Brain Age (as well as Hot Brain) may not, in fact, improve anything, but rather keep the gears lubricated as this interesting article shows:
http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/06_39/b4002100.htm?chan=tc&campaign_id=rss_tech.rss091506a
Studies that video games improve hand-eye coordination and visual attention have been around for years. A few interesting articles on video games and their potential benefits:
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2003/05/0528_030528_videogames.html
http://education.mit.edu/papers/seriousgames.htm
Brain Age and all of the clones really in the end may not be any better than just working with your brain each day attempting to learn something new. Puzzle games may help you think faster by accessing a situation faster in that you can quickly devise a solution. I don't think this is even remotely a bad thing for Sony or the PSP as people seem to make it out to be, but rather a potential new wave of games that may give the industry a much needed PR boost in light of violent games like Halo and GTA.

Interesting read and true but Brainage is a game that train your Prefrontal Cortex. It never said that it will improve your intelligence but rather helpful for a brain to function at 100%.
*Laughs*:D Sony must be desperate for their PSP's, shame indeed.

Â
Wow, so a third party game made by Midway is automatically ownage against Sony? I mean, the fact that it's on the PSP just means they're trying to rip off Nintendo alright. Sony had everything to do with the conception, development, and release of this game.
Â
Â
PSP isn't dead. It's sold 20 million in a market completely dominated by Nintendo. I didn't expect it to beat the DS.
You guys are laughing at the PSP now but the reality is that Sony have entered the market quite strongly and the next battle is going to be much closer.Â

Pfft. Logic! You know these guys are only concerned with winning or losing. Stealing market share from a company that dominated an industry does not mean anything apparently. Overtaking that competition is all that means anything to them. :roll:Â
