WoW is "teh sux". Warhammer is where it's at :P
Wrath of the Lich King takes the best-of-breed MMO and improves everything about it. It's a work of supreme confidence and quality that is twice as fun and ten times as beautiful as classic WOW, not to mention anything else in the genre. But above all else - in the breathtaking sweep of Northrend, in the assured, epic storytelling, in the constellation of brilliant quests - it is a grand adventure. Perhaps the grandest adventure in all gaming. In every sense, Azeroth is still the place to be.
Hmm very tempting.
Fellow Hermits, is it worth giving up regular gaming for this ?anshul89
NO

Well, I wouldnt call myself a hermit, but WoW is an amazing game and definitely worth the monthly fee. The only draw backs I can see about the game is that most of the content requires you to be the max lvl (lvl 80 with the release of WotLK). Dont get me wrong, you can still do instances (dungeons) starting from lvl 13ish and you will find alot of people to go with, but dont expect to do any raids till you are max level because very few people still do the pre-BC raids (and now im guessing few people do pre-WotLK raids). Overall its a great game, just one word of advice, if you are the PvP centric type and would like to participate in the Arena, roll Warrior or Druid. DONT ROLL HUNTER!!! Im a hunter and Line of Sight (LoS) kills you in the Arena. Sure casters get affected by LoS but atleast they can still cast their WTFBBQ1SHOTZKILLZ!!! moves at pointblank, you cant, you have to use your melee weapon which basically means you are dead.
And WTF is up with rogues being able to disarm your traps all from 100miles away? Did Blizz just decide to shaft hunters or sumthing? And shadow step....omfg....haxxx....

Not worth giving up regular gaming for you'll miss out on too much but worth playing regularly 4 sure if your into MMO's, download the 15 day trial or what ever it is and try it.
u think a mmo thats played by millions (majority being wives ) will be complex :PGood Score.
I'm going to give the Eve Online 21 day trial a go instead.
WoW lacked the complexity I was looking for.

I have no idea what you just said. Sorry, I've never played a n mmo before.:O ok here is the basic break down:
WoW is awesome if you are the type of player who likes to play solo, in a group, or against other players. It caters for all types of gamers!
Now if you want to play in this special game mode called "Arena" just be aware that some c.l.a.s.s.e.s are more viable than others in that environment. Technically any ****can do well, but then again, technically you can drive a porsche 911 through the desert :?
If you like playing with people and going through sum epic battles that can last hours at times, then WoW is for you. It has quests that are relatively short and some that are long and sum dungeons that can go from 1hr to 6hrs+. Basically, its a game for any gamer unless you dont have alot of free time.
Good Score.

EVE lacks the fun that WoW hasÂ

WoW is complex and simple. Its like Super Smash Bros. On the surface its a very simple game, and If you want, it can remain simple forever. But if you are willing, you can get into the more hardcore aspects of the game, and that where it becomes complex. Just trying playing a 30min arena match, and you'll know what I mean :P Even some instances/raids can be pretty complex and require great group management and good interaction between players.

So are the quests and storytelling really that epic ? I love epic. The problem is its complexity is very limited (in comparison) as is a game like Brawl.WoW is complex and simple. Stick a game like Eve and WoW next to each-other, and the design and strategic complexities aren't comparable at all.
WoW is far less complex, however its far more accessible (and does not have the worlds harshest learning curve).

There's no way I can see everything WoW has to offer in those 10 days.Nope but it will give you a better understanding of it.... you can pick up The WOW battlechest for £10 at my local HMV and then for about £12 you can get a 60 day pass... I've paid more for games that have taken me less than 6-7 hours to complete the last few years
Blizzard delivers once more. silences the new boys that thought they can hold a candle to the greatest developer ever.
P.S lol just realised how fanboyish my comment sounds but its true...

If you have a career then I will advice to not touch it at all.
Stay far away from it!!!
I have not played it, but I have heard some stories.
But, ofcourse that doesnt apply to everyone. Many ppl have the ability to not get addicted, but why take risk if you know it beforehand?

Well i've been hearing a lot of good comments on it, personally, if you have a 70 character go for it. If you're starting from 1, well that might be difficult to level up.
