Doesn't surprise me. EB Games overprices videogames by $10 and they have the worst deals ever. I buy my stuff from JB Hi-fi or Dick Smith Electronics.

Holy crap! My friend's gonna be pissed when I tell him about this.

After his 360 got RROD for the 4th time a few weeks ago, he decided to sell his console and games and wait for a PS3 price-drop.

Talk about bad luck.

P.S.

This is actually a pretty good sales strategy. Blockbuster did the same thing using Netflicks tabs and got them tons more customers. Considering this is a full blown $200 price-drop for anyone who would feel unhappy with their used 360, it's not such a bad deal. 4 games though, I gotta admit, is a bit much.

only time gamestop/eb games have worth buying from them are when you are willing to buy collectors edition that is only available from them. example i can think top of my head is the LE bioshock or wwe smackdown vs raw 07.

I can get the Collector's Edition from my local JB though, and it's much cheaper than EB. We don't have Gamestop here but I'm assuming they're like EB which ain't good imo.

I'll put it simply so people can see what I'm talking about.

And yup twas quite fun ripping EB of. The only reason I bought a second $80 Xbox was for the $40 ripoff EB trade discount :D

Me too the savings are sometimes crazy i went to EB and they had a game for $119, went next door to JB and they had the same one on sale for $69.

in genral ive found kmart, big w and target to be good only when their on sale and they have limited range. GAME is sometimes good (they have a buy 2 get 1 free sale on now)

Its in Elizabeth Street in ye City. Im still yet to visit their, but their Prices in the Thursday Age, under the games reviews are usually very good.

Basically I inquired about the tradein prices on some games there when the SNES was still around and saw in their book (because they actually still had a tradein guide for people to look at then) that I would typically get between $2 and $4 with $5 to $6 on the high end...never even considered trading anything in there again.

I miss Funcoland. :(

One good example was them giving me 2 copies of a game, or giving me the disks to the newly released sequel of a game, while I was buying the original.

Only good thing about EB is the large quantity of old/used games. But if anyone is going to sell their 360 I highly recommend bid sites like eBay or to an associate looking to buy.Blue-Sky

We have local and/or less rapacious chains around where I live to get used games on the cheap. Can you get NES, Saturn, Sega CD, Sega Master System, Game Gear, Virtual Boy, Genesis, and SNES games and systems (to name just part of their selection..) at EB? I didn't think so.

Lol, such a useless deal, but still sony has no hand in it

They sure are trying to sell those PS3's.

I wish we had stuff like that for Wii. But we can't because it solds out in 15 minutes.
