wtf is wrong with GT.com 2011 best graphic goes to UC3 again!

They already picked UC3 for best E3 graphic based on trailers, which is fine, but now they picked UC3 for best graphic 2011 AGAIN over BF3(PC version), Dirt3(PC version) TW2(which I have no problem with) but what I can't really stand is that they even picked UC3 over cyrsis2(pc version) there's no question that they never take their time go back to crysis2's later dx11 version + HD tex pack version to re-review the graphic but just give their verdict on the DX9 maxed out version instead.

I usually have no problem to accept pros verdicts as they usually come out to be the same as mine, but this time it's obvious that GT editors are little too obsessed with Naughty dogs.

edit: Geow3's underwater level looks amazing according to the trailer and there's no questions that UC3 looking stunning(will pick up both games later) but over DX11 version crysis2? WUUUUTT??!

Uncharted 3 shouldn't win over any 2011 PC game in graphics. Even Street Cleaning Simulator stomps U3 in the graphics department.

Definitely should've been BF3 or TW2.

Its because most sites forget about PC simply because PC's have a huge advantage hardware wise. Its a no brainier that PC games look better but Uncharted 3 looks freaking amazing for a console which is 5/6 year old tech. Nonstop-Madness

Anyway- It is all personal choice and I think Gears 3 looked better (as well as Rage and Crysis 2). I personally feel Forza 4 is the best looking console game on the market. But it isn't like Uncharted 3 is a bad choice because it isn't.

Also- PC games are set at a different standard. A new PC on max settings has no business looking worse then a 7 year old console with tech in it that is probably outdated by the time the console releases its first game. The fact that the PC crowd even worries about graphic threads at this point is because they just wanna get noticed. They do not realize that the majority of the general public could really care less about high end PC graphics. Hell, almost everyone I know probably has no idea PC games look better.

At least Shane will share his opinion even if it is not the most popular. Most reviewers are sock puppets who are scared to hurt someones feelings. GT is by far the least bias site on the web and they have no problem calling people out. Invisible Walls is great because they will flat out call a develpoers BS. Pretty sure you do not like Shane becasue he has a different opinion then you. And unlike most people......at least he explains why he has a problem with something and more times then not, he has a point.

listen I'm not a PC fanboi, I own all consoles as well as a top of the line PC, and I do know UC3 looks unbelievable good, and I do acknowledge that it even tops most PC titles, but it HAS NO PLACE to go head to head against Crysis2 and BF3 DX11 in a 2011 graphic contest and won the trophy

Saying how we worried about graphic this and that, guess what? we are talking about the graphic award, and this is a graphic thread. if it was simply Best Console Graphic 2011 or best PS3 graphic 2011, I will just clap and move along, but that's not the case.

It deserves it. In other news, ND is under investigation for labor law violations in how it treats its artists to get them to produce so many visual elements in a 2 year span. Either they're locking them away and refusing them food until they meet their quota and are running a miniature sweatshop of child-genius artists, or they're warlocks. Gotta be.

I don't mind. Many reviewers view graphics with no regard to the technical aspects as do I. I like Crysis 2 a lot. But, I have no complaints if reviewers pick UC3 or some other game. UC3 looks pleasing to me as well.

I think the issue is that these sites award Graphics of the Year based on art style rather than strictly technical graphics. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but they need to make that clear.

does any of the games mentioned makes you control your character freely inside a whole moving level? thats technical right there.

remember the earthquake and the collapsing building in BF3? we only watched it happen but we couldn't control the character, now if that same scene was interactive just like Uncharted 3 :shock:

are you even a PC gamer? the best 2007 hardware can only keep up with the second best setting (high) at a bare mimimum playable frame rate and it's only till 4 years later, with the GTX4xx seriers you can truely max out crysis at highest setting at a playable frame rate. So that comment does make sense and I agree.

I wasn't playing consoles alot at 2007 so uncharted1 might be the best looking console game at time but I remember it was ugly nothing compare to UC2 and all PC titles.

It's mostly a fact that games with good graphics have good gameplay, I mean if the developers are so geniuses making graphics look technically this good and polished I don't think it's hard for them to make at least good/great gameplay mechanics.

the more crappier a game looks the more I know its going to be crappy gameplay wise too haha.

I'm actually surprised. Bulletstorm is a beutiful game, and with all the things going stays pretty stable fps on pc
