Anyway- It is all personal choice and I think Gears 3 looked better (as well as Rage and Crysis 2). I personally feel Forza 4 is the best looking console game on the market. But it isn't like Uncharted 3 is a bad choice because it isn't.

Also- PC games are set at a different standard. A new PC on max settings has no business looking worse then a 7 year old console with tech in it that is probably outdated by the time the console releases its first game. The fact that the PC crowd even worries about graphic threads at this point is because they just wanna get noticed. They do not realize that the majority of the general public could really care less about high end PC graphics. Hell, almost everyone I know probably has no idea PC games look better.

So why not give the award to some handheld title or maybe some Wii title even? That would leave some people pretty pissed! Fact is it's very difficult to objectively judge what you're suggesting: give the award to best graphics for the respective platform. Yoo should always give the award to the best graphics period.

You don't give gold medals to someone that ended 20th because their budget for training was lower! Why do you think the US and other countries always come out ahead? Because they throw more money at the training part. Or give the title best Football player of the year to some 2nd division guy because he doesn't play professionally so he's more impressive.

I am not surprised given the general inclination towards console gaming the site has and a history of several similar gaffes. This has been going on since the Uncharted won over Crysis, and they've used the same excuse ever since. "It's too hard to buy/build a PC to run this game on max, so we're going to give it to a game with worse graphics." Pathetic.

Uncharted 3 shouldn't win over any 2011 PC game in graphics. Even Street Cleaning Simulator stomps U3 in the graphics department.

Uncharted 3 is more impressive coming from the PS3 than any PC game including BF3 coming from todays PC,you people may want to ignore it but the PS3 runs on a GPU that wasn't even top of the line back when the PS3 was release,and still the sand,water and fire simulations on Uncharted 3 rivals and in many instances surpass those found on PC games,just because you have a trillion polygons doesn't mean everything will act more real.

You have to see it this way think for a second how incredibly more impressive Uncharted 3 would look if it was running on a top of the line PC GPU with 4GB of system ram and 2 GB of video ram.

If GT merged art and tech into one category, it clearly would have to go to The Witcher 2. It's a far more detailed game than UC3, and is artistically impressive as much as UC3, perhaps even more. Well, at least it get nominated, unlike that "VGA" joke.

The award is for best graphics period, not best graphical achievement because it's on outdated hardware. UC3 in no way looks better than Crysis 2 on a PC. Hell, it's even a stretch to say it looks better than the console versions.

Speaking of which, i've literally just stopped playing Crysis 2. Much better now i've played through Crysis first. It no longer bothers me that it's linear for some reason. The Crysis series is great, much rather yearly sequels to that then CoD.
