WWII shooters vs Present time military shooters.

Both annoying, but companies have stopped making WWII shooters(not completely) and have put their focus on military shooters like MW. My question to you is which ones are more annoying? Were you more annoyed and tired of WWII shooters when they were popular than the military shooters now?

Current military shooters are less annoying, mainly because they are at least a bit more flexible than most of the WWII games were. However, one of my favorite shooter campaigns ever was CoD2.

I wouldn't say I was ever annoyed with either. I did get bored with WWII shooters but lately I've found myself wanting to revisit Call of Duty 2.

yeah, i love anything ww2. i wish they would make some new ones. the newer military game irk me more. most of them are fictitious, and i respect true historical wars. and where are the vietnam games?

Despite their over staturation, I'm still glad that modern overtook WWII. Modern day has more potential for differgent settings and modern guns are better than WWII guns.

WW2 by far!Most modern military shooters have nothing to do the I&A wars, that's why you see more variety.

What would be nice is more fictional WW2 games, like Wolfenstein.

WWII shooters were so played out. There was a time when 5 WWII shooters would come out a year. I remember when COD moved over the Modern Warfare I was happy because I was SOOO sick of playing WWII shooter. However, now I really want to play one again.

IMO, Medieval shooters are the best.

Eh, I tend to like them both. Call of Duty World at War is one of my favorite games of all time, as is Black Ops, just as an example.

There are not enough 'Nam themed shooters if you ask me.

Present time annoys me more because somehow, given all the potential for various conflicts, it always boils down to USA vs. Russia. Probably the only reason I was looking forward to Homefront was that it was someone else fighting the USA. I also find the Middle East setting over done and tedious.

WWII was starting to get way too common, but shooting Nazis rarely gets old.

The problem with modern Shooters is its US vs Terrorists, US vs Russia, US VS something. I would rather see a WW1 shooter. And don't say WW1 was all trench warfare, as WW1 was quite mobile on the OTHER fronts (Like the Balken front, the African theater, The Caucas front, the Eastern front etc.).
