X box 360 Elite or Playstation 80 gb?

I'm getting a game console soon and can't choose between the PS3 or the xbox 360 to save my life. I really like a few of the 360 games out now and am kinda leaning that way but heard the xbox can actully be more expensive than the ps3 after all the accessories needed are bought. I am looking for feedback from someone who has both consoles and can give me the pros and cons to both machines and give them a rating of the following. 1- 10 10 being the best

2. future graphics

3.multiplayer games

4. overall fun

I also heard if you get the 360 you have to but a wireless connector of some sort and was kinda confused. Would that mean I couldnt play online without that adaptor? Me too. Go PS3 much better system. Also X360 nickel & dimes you to death with online play fees and proprietary accessories.

The wireless adapter you asked about is a good example of the nickel and diming I was talking about. Wifi Adapter for X360 $100. Built into PS3. Recharge kit for controllers $15 X360, not needed on PS3. Online play $50 every year on X360, included on PS3. etc, etc...

Just so you know the 5 free Blu-ray offer is still going on as well for the PS3. A nice bonus.

What reason would people have not to believe him? For all intents and purposes, the PS3 is a much better console. The only argument in favor of the 360 is that it has better games, but such an argument is completely subjective. Very few of the 360's exlusive games appeal to me, but that doesn't mean the PS3 exlusive games are better. However, I don't think anybody can really argue that the PS3 is a better, more reliable piece of hardware. And cheaper in the end, too.

But if you want a freaking spectacular game machine with unmatched online. The look no further 360 detsroys PS3 as for being a game machine.

Because this is the internet where everybody is anonymous and can say pretty much whatever they want without backing it up, and this is the System Wars forum where all the fanboys frolick. That's enough reason for me, especially since this particular user made their very own thread here on how they converted to PS3 and failed to provide any kind of evidence that they ever owned a 360. But whatever...

For all intents and purposes, the PS3 is a much better console. The only argument in favor of the 360 is that it has better games, but such an argument is completely subjective. Very few of the 360's exlusive games appeal to me, but that doesn't mean the PS3 exlusive games are better. However, I don't think anybody can really argue that the PS3 is a better, more reliable piece of hardware. And cheaper in the end, too.

The PS3 is a better piece of hardware, sure, but in my opinion the Xbox 360 has the better games (and a lot more of them) and it has a superior online service. I am not the only one who carries this view. That is the overall, general perception of gamers now. The games and the online service creates a very nice customer benefit package which adds a lot of value to the console itself. If the 360 didn't have the games, it would be a miserable failure. All consoles would be. But the 360 is beating the PS3 handily (at least in North America) month to month and it appears that will be the trend for the rest of this generation.

And "cheaper in the end" doesn't mean much since gamers, over the course of a console's lifetime, will spend upwards of a $1000+ on games, accessories and hardware for all major consoles. And these people are going to complain about $40 a year for an online service? Only the fanboys of a competing console do. I personlly don't think it's a big deal. It would be nice if it were free, but it's not going to make or break my decision on buying a console.

Ok, tell me what is so great about the 360's games? Most of them are boring generic first person shooters. Gears of War's single player campaign is terrible. Perfect Dark Zero is just terrible period. Bioshock is good but has absolutely no replay value. GRAW gets boring after about 2 hours. Halo 3 is junk. Oblivion is great, but the PS3 version is better. Mass Effect has terrible combat, and has performance problems.

PS3 has better exclusive games.

Really you should pick the one with the games you like. PS3 isn't that much more powerful. The first xbox was alot stronger then the PS2 but that didn't help it much.

You can't really expect unbiased suggestions without giving out a little bit more information.

What action games does X360 have to compete with: Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, or Uncharted: Drakes Fortune

X360 doesn't have a single platformer anywhere near the quality of Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction

What about Niche titles? Does X360 have anything like: Eye of Judgement, Singstar, or Little Big Planet

Even if you are an FPS fan PS3 will soon have better. COD4 is cross platform, but PS3 has Unreal Tournament with MOD support next month, Haze after that, and then the big one KillZone 2.

Online games: PS3 has 3 known MMORPG games in the works, X360 has zero planned. And of course Warhawk, the most fun I've had with an online game all year.

well if u don't buy the wireless adpater the 360 is cheaper and worth it, but if u just want a casual laid back gaming machine that has afew games and some decent games coming out later lean towards the ps3.

No reason PS3 fans won't see NG2 since it looks identical to Sigma except with more blood. Either way I'm not that pumped for 2 because it looks like more of the same.

It couldnt be done in its current state becasue its a game from teh ground up for 360. Just like MGS4. THey would have to completely recode gears to make it work. ITs not Impossible, and if they did that it would run just as fine on PS3 as it did on 360.

And yes, I do think the Xbox 360 is a better gaming console. That's strictly my taste. But I encourage people who like platformers and Metal Gear Solid & Final Fantasy to get the PS3

Now that's a flat out lie. Epic said no such thing, infact they already said that Unreal Tournament is superior graphically to Gears. And it's PS3 / PC exclusive until we here otherwise.

I really like a few of the 360 games out now and am kinda leaning that way but heard the xbox can actully be more expensive than the ps3 after all the accessories needed are bought. I am looking for feedback from someone who has both consoles and can give me the pros and cons to both machines and give them a rating of the following. 1- 10 10 being the best

1.Games in the future

2. future graphics

3.multiplayer games

4. overall fun

5. longjevity

I also heard if you get the 360 you have to but a wireless connector of some sort and was kinda confused. Would that mean I couldnt play online without that adaptor? I have wireless internet but am not the most computer savvy person so I'm not sure if I would have to purchase it or not. TY to anyone who takes the time to reply, I appreciate it. :)

1) Games in the future. PS3) MGS4, White Knight, FFXIII, GT5, Killzone 2, UTIII, Haze, Syphon Filter, Socom, DMC4, GTA IV etc.. XBox 360) Gears of War 2, Halo 4, Halo Wars, Banjo 3, Fable 2,Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, DoA5, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Too Human, Huxley, GTA IV (exclusive content), DMC4etc.. The PS3 has a few more popular franchise, but many of these titles won't hit the PS3 until summer or even winter in the case of FFXIII & GT5. If you don't mind waiting another 6-10 months, the PS3 will have some great titles. The XBox 360 main advantage is that it has quality titles out now like Orange Box, Bioshock, Halo 3, PGR4, Mass Effect, Gears of War, CoD2,3,4, Lost Planet, Dead Rising, etc.. The PS3 does have Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Resistance: FoM, R&C and Warhawk, but that's about it.

2) I don't think the graphics on either system will really eclipse the other. I expect the graphics to stay pretty close to the same for the life of both systems.

3)If you don't mind paying $50 a yrs for XBoxLive,just about every XBox 360 is playable online. That can't be said for the PS3 games. The user base on XBox Live compared to the PS3 is like 8:1. So you shouldn't have any problems finding other to play against. Sony's PSN for the PS3 is FREE, but it stilldoesn't match XBoxLive'sservice.

4) You will have fun with either systems. If all depends on the games you like to play. The only difference right now is the XBox 360 has more quality titles to chose from. By this time next year the PS3 will have a ton of quality titles to chose from as well.

5) Depending on how well the PS3 does over the next 2 years, it might last 7-8yrs. The XBox 360 should last just as long, but M$ is known for wanting to improve technology, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a new XBox 360 within the next 3 yrs with HD-DVD or a better format. I truly think both systems will go at least 7yrs though.

As for the wireless adapter, you can get any USB wireless adapter and plug it into your XBox 360 for wireless access. You don't have to use the one M$ sells for $99. The PS3 already a wireless adapter built in, which is convenient. If you have a internet cable new your router you can just plug it into the XBox 360.
