This old chestnut can easily bite you in the ass, your competitions sales will increase if you can't keep up with the supply. Especially at this time of the year where consoles are bought as gifts.

I haven't seen Lemmings doing this, but I sure have seen a lot of Cows trying to act like the PS4 has outsold the XBone just because they can't find PS4s in their local stores, and they can find XBones on the shelf.
My point is both companies said they sold over 1 million consoles, and neither one has said how many consoles were actually shipped out to stores. It's quite possible that there were more XBones shipped to the stores. It's also quite possible that there were actually more PS4s shipped and they sold more. No one knows, but the fanboys are sure speculating their asses off.
I thought consumers usually don't want to get spied and surveillanced.
How do people think Microsoft are going to manage that? Do people really think that Microsoft will get away with streaming 1080p video and audio 24 hours a day on your internet connection? 1 hour of 1080p video and audio will be around 1-2GB, add that up over a week and anyone with internet data caps (which is still a lot of people) will be charged out of the ass.
It wouldn't last a day without a massive media storm, at best the console can maybe look out for key words and then send the last 30 seconds or so, but even then it is highly unlikely that the console picking up on keywords will be able to pick up a terrorist or shooting plot, and it will lead to the same problems of uploading, as they will need to upload quite a large chunk if someone is playing a shooting game with a mic trying to pick up keywords while some kid is shouting "I'm going to kill you" down the mic the entire session.
Everything else about the console (game stats, targeted advertising) will be just as monitored as the PS4 or WiiU can be.
Call me when MS announce how much they have sold since launch in US,because it still a mystery some how,yet UK numbers have been know for days,that strategy of hiding anything bad will not work for long when NPD show who won,just like hiding multiplatform games didn't work either.

Is because tracking sales is not done in hours,it took sony 2 days to say they sold 1 million units in 24 hours US,and it took MS several days to say how much they sold in UK,yet some how we most believe that MS knew before 24 hours that 1 million units were sold in 13 countries.?

Doesn't surprise me. There were still Xbox One's available in Target and Walmart's around me for days after launch. I'm guessing 2nd shipment sat there for a bit as well. PS4's come in and are out nearly immediately.

MS numbers are sold... they said the term "Sold-Through" which means to consumers not to stores. Look it up before posting wrong info.
I was in a gamestop over the weekend and they had to keep telling customers that they had no PS4s. But they did have Xbox Ones, and then they would start laughing. It seemed they couldn't sell the Xbox One while keeping a straight face
