Sucks for those that have a busted system. Don't want to see anyone have to deal with issues when spending 400 or 500 dollars on a new game console. It sucks when any launch day device doesn't work, but its a fact some wont on launch day. That goes for any digital device.

Funny things is if you were to buy any gaming device thats already been out like a PS3, 360, or even a GTX Titan if it didn't work you could easily return it and get a replacement in a short amount of time with few worries and most of the time your experience, if you even bothered to post it online, would probably go unnoticed. However for a launch console with sky high demand and low supply you need a little bit of luck to get a timely replacement not to mention people will jump on any story regarding a launch system with trouble.

Go play games on your precious PS4's cows, you're spending more time arguing and picking on lems in the console war than you are playing games.

I was just planning on playing KI and waiting for price drops but if there are all these drive failures and installation issues, I guess im going to have to purchase a game just to make sure my bone works.

Granted we wont know how widespread this issue is until the verified amazon reviews start rolling in, as Sony fans are so butthurt over their hardware problems they have completely hijacked the reviews at this point.

Certainly hope not, but if the disc drive issue is widespread, i want microsoft to address it and maybe offer free extended warranties on drive failures.

Unlike cows i dont want to sweep it under the rug if there is a manufacturing defect and be stuck with a broken system out of warranty a year from now.
