X1 or Wii U - who will be second place?

Yeah, the PS4 doesn't look too exciting, but it will have the better multiplats, so that alone is a selling point.

And yeah, Halo is amazing, but there's literally nothing else that is even slightly appealing about the X1.

I actually think WiiU might pull ahead now, they have some truly unique games that cater to those that prefer japanese developers.

It's become a race to grab up the AAA's and have the best multiplats(lol) between the xbone and ps4, with the WiiU you are guaranteed to have a unique experience. They just need to keep making games because the big 3rd parties aren't supporting it which puts them in a unique position

I actually think if they timed their big releases to avoid droughts (I think Mario Kart 8 is going to give the Wii U a much need NPD boost), they could definitely pull ahead of the X1, but I think it'll be droughts that eventually undermine the Wii's path to success. We'll see.

Sony as usual is far to full of them selves and as usual will over promise and under deliver just like they did with the PS3!! MS has Halo, Gears, Fable, Forza, Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break just to name a few exclusive franchises that are known. Nobody is pulling multiplats away from the X1, so I think it is time for the Cows to stop being so dillusional and understand that this is going to be a long, long race of atleast 8-10 years. Nintendo's WiiU wont be a factor because Nintendo will have to come out with a more powerful console in the next 3 years to remain even half relevant!

It's not that PS4 is pulling multiplats away. It's that PS4 appears to be a way better system to play them on. Better multiplats was a big reason many people preferred the 360.

I am truly disappointed that you choose to play these kind of games instead of open up to me.

No and i didn't mean to imply they would. Just used it as a measurement for the system. I personally know people who haven't touched their ps4 in months and what i said helps explain that. the point is, the X1 is a better console with better games, better online, better maintenance, and better features (though without a kinect that does diminish); therefore the ps4 should logically be the system to fall behind imo

The Xbox 360:

* Was rushed out the door a year early in the US and Japan to pad out its installed base numbers

* A year and a half in Europe compared to the PS3

* Was 200 dollars cheaper than the PS3

* Had the luxury of the RRoD and absurd amount of other hardware problems that inflated its installed base numbers by tens of millions due to Xbox owners buying 3,4,5 or more duplicate Xbox 360 models in the desperate hope of finally having one that worked properly

* Third party 'parity agreement's that mandated games be gimped down to Xbox 360 levels in features and graphics

All that and Microsoft still ended up in last place.

None of that is true this gen.

The absolute best case for the Xbox One is maybe hitting first Xbox installed base numbers this gen. That is if Elop doesn't dump the Xbox before this gen ends.

Your argument is immensely silly: anger can be expressed through words, hence why a person might say they received an angry letter, or why anger can be expressed through written dialogue. Your posts come off as angry based on their content. Are you actually angry in real life? I have no idea but I was commenting on your posts.

Wii U will end up third place. It doesn't matter though because Xbox One will still have shitty exclusives and Wii U will still have excellent exclusives that are more fun to play. Nintendo will continue to make the best console franchises in the industry.

Docsanchez and Birdo used to be an item. Then prom night caused him to be immensely angry. The unending series of lame internet posts is merely one manifestation of his crushed ego and subsequent lust for vengeance.

Anywho. No one really knows who is going where this generation. It's still pretty early, and more plot twists will follow. Plus, if you were so sure of your predictions, you could easily buy/short their respective stocks and make some real money.

Most gamers went towards 360 because of PS3 ridiculous price and lack of games its first almost 3 years. If we add the fact that PS3 lost major exclusives to X360 and was considerably more expensive for years there you have it ... Also PS3 lost momentum when first multis looked better on X360 ( slightly even but still ) but there were some multis that were looking way better on PS3 ( if developers cared to put some more effort that is )

This generation is totally different. PS4 has an appealing price and is clearly ahead of X1 in terms of power while its an easy platform for developers. The ideal , cheap platform that is powerful.

PS4 winning because of price along with MS mistakes both in policies that they got forced to reverse and hardware specifications of the X1 along with ... yes price.

The PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 by two million consoles in its very first year - all while being 200 dollars more expensive.

The PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 every single year on the market.

I'm not arguing that multiplats are the biggest reason, just that they are one factor of many. There are a myriad of reasons why the PS4 is beating the X1.

Opinions ? Im talking only facts. PS3 with 130/140 million PS2 userbase , epic hype behind it , promises that never happened ( extraordinary graphics like no other system etc ) failed !!! It was such a struggle to sale that they took drastic measures ( similar to X1 now ) to cut down BC and some other stuff from the console in order to make it cheaper in order to sale.

Having 140m userbase ready to jump to next console while ending up with almost half of it after almost 9 years is pathetic. Exactly the same things i happening to Nintendo right now.

PS2 155 million in sales over 13 years(2000 to 2013) - 11.92 million consoles year.

PS3 85 million in sales over 7 years(2007 to 2014) - do the math...

@blackace: What thrashing? PS3 sold more than 360 or tied it after releasing a year later and having several disadvantages. PS3 also outsold 360 year after year once released. Get educated and learn what thrashing means junior. Being released simultaneously and just about doubling X1s sales like what PS4 is doing can be considered thrashing.
