Good. The current Xbox One's interface is extremely sluggish and is just rather bad all around. The PS4's is better, but boot time on the PS4 isn't the greatest either. Happy to see Microsoft addressing the issue.
How system wars is slowly mirroring politics arguing about things just to make an argument. Xbox One is the crazy republican, the PS4 is the crazy democrat, Wii/Wii U is the that independent no one cares about, and the PC is Donald Trump.

For example, play a game and go into the loading screen of said game, press PS button and try to do ANYTHING else while the game is loading in the background... Just deleting words in a message you've wrote takes ages and on a huge delay. Annoying af.

This is amazing news, I check my system all the time in hopes Microsoft have switched me to it, cannot wait to be on this preview, I don't have issues with the current os but happy for any improvements.

I'll take my chances, Microsoft already said it's substantially faster, 50% got thrown around somewhere, I don't have any doubts.
I've had it for a while now under early preview testing and overall I'm very pleased with it, though I never really had big issues with the current UI.
The new guide is the best thing about NXE, it is instant and your friends list show up right there, its even faster than the 360 by far. I like some of the other changes too, like now you can see more of your custom background in the dashboard areas, you'll have fun setting up your favorite screenshots as backdrops :)
Kinect functionality is just like the old OS, though I have not seen Cortana yet, so hopefully that will be a nice addition to the UI for people who like using the voice commands.
But thankfully the PS4 is faster getting games and much much faster installing them to.
Faster at getting games a minute fraction of the community is interested in. I'm actually curious if install times have been rectified with this update, I don't see why not, there's no drive or hardware limitation.

If both system had limited functionality they would be super quick..... Rip out that over bloated functionality bullshit and give the memory and recourses to the developers to use on games... these are GAMES consoles after all.
I expect a huge improvement over my Xbone's current UI with Win10...but this source is pretty sketchy.

The PS4 UI is also super smooth and the differences are pretty minor here.
Only the task times with the current public Xbox One UI sometimes are really bad.
The overall experience really is not compareable to any of the other two consoles, because sometimes you just need to wait for something to load way too long.
Yeah. That's probably an excellent idea all things considered regarding the last time that website was used, the reddit connection, and the random person admitting the tests were biased.

Yeah, this is nowhere near official in any sense. It's based on one end-user's experience and still needs to be ratified. It's obvious that the new UI will be faster, as that's one of the major drives behind it. By how much is yet to officially be seen.

Well, I've been looking forward to the advertised Win10 Xbone UI over the current Xbone UI. I got used to the Xbone UI, but the Xbone UI is just slow and clunky, so I welcome a change.
I hope they find a way to improve the disc install times on Xbone, that would be great.
@SolidTy: Yeah... I find the original UI convoluted and slow. I have no idea if they're working on install times, but I think that's one of the biggest issues with the Xbone. It's part of the reason the PS4 is my go-to console.
