Which do you find looks the best?
Well, the big surprise for me was that the X1X version looks considerably better than the PC Ultra 4K graphics. The texture detail looks better, the clarity of the visuals is superior and even the graphical effects such as the hairworks looks a lot better as well. Btw, the PS4 pro looks like @SS, LMFAO!
It's not a night n day difference to my eyes, I'm almost certain that even next to each other you'd be hard pressed to notice anything significant.
I laughed at a post above who mentioned looking for differences in the notes on the wall behind, if that really is the only way to spot any differences then nobody need worry about anything and should just get on with playing the game.
Did PS3 gamers enjoy their games less because they were softer compared to the 360 counterparts? Did xbox one games enjoy their games less because they were softer than the PS4 versions? And did we LMFAO at PS2 because gamecube ran resident evil 4 better or every multiplat looked better on OG xbox???
It's always been like this. Especially with original Xbox one and PS4 unless they are side by side and you're paying close attention it's hard to tell the difference. You need sites like digital foundry with specialized tools and you need to pause the game and zoom in 10x to see the differences on edges of a shadow somewhere in the background that you don't even notice while playing the game in motion. Rarely, however the differences are more pronounced though, like Bayonetta on PS3 and 360 where the 360 version clearly looked better to the naked eye and loaded much faster and was a better experience. I loved Rise of Tomb Raider, but it feels like we're splitting hairs here to justify some hype on a $500 US ($600 CDN) xbox one mid-gen upgrade.
Wasn't PS4 like 1.8 teraflops and Xbox one 1.3 teraflops? Not even 1 teraflops difference. Now PS4 pro is 4 teraflops and Xbox one x is 6 teraflops so one x is better than the pro by a larger gap than PS4 is better than Xbox one.
That's said it doesn't really make a big differences in terms if sales and market share. It's like the PS2 gen all over again. Multiplat games looked better on Xbox than PS2. But it didn't stop PS2 from being one of the most successful consoles ever due to other factors such as games. The same thing will probably apply to PS4. It will go down as a great system due to its library. But there's no need to downplay Xbox's better graphics. One x is even smaller than the pro. An amazing piece of engineering it is. Credit where credit is due.

It's PS4's 1.84 TFLOPS vs XBO's 1.31 TFLOPS . The difference is 0.53 TFLOPS or 530 GFLOPS.
It's PS4's 1.84 TFLOPS vs XBO Slim's 1.4 TFLOPS . The difference is 0.44 TFLOPS or 440 GFLOPS.
During this year 2013, I have MSI Gaming X R9-290X OC with 1040 Mhz and 44 CU yields 5.85 TFLOPS. I also have R9-290 reference card with 4.85 TFLOPS. I could crossfired both of my R9-290X and R9-290 for 10 TFLOPS gaming PC setup.
This is why defined PS4 vs XBO fight as a minor difference.
Don't forget RBE/ROPS has it's own fix function math logical operators. This is the classic GPU's math functions and X1X has added 2 MB render cache for these fix function math units. R9-290X/R9-390X's RBE/ROPS has very small render cache i.e. 384 KB or 0.384 MB.
AMD/Sony was running down thier RBE/ROPS units and focusing on 2 MB L2 cache with TMUs.
PC version looks way better then the XB1x version, which isn't really a surprise, but as console goes, xb1x looks slightly better then the ps4 pro. I guess in this case lemmings are hyping 2 year old games now, since console really doesn't have anything worth while (exclusives) to show off the power of the xb1x .
Lol, nice try. Such a salty cow. First still image of Lara in the snow already shows more detail in her red jacket in case of OneX.

I'm pretty sure that Nixxes has made changes to the Xbox One X version that elevates it above the quality of the PC version in certain regards.

The video is not using the highest texture settings for PC. I have already proven that with my own comparison screenshots in this thread,. Also the PC version used in the video had pure hair off and vxao was not used and some of the other settings were turned down.
The X1X is only $500 and will be released in a couple of months. It's pretty obvious that anyone who can afford it will buy it if they can find one. Anyone on this forum with even the smallest understanding of PC hardware or even console hardware knows it's an amazing value. I can't wait until November 7th!
That's why the PC version has multiple texture options, highest requiring way past 4gb... it tapped my 980ti out with 6gb
I've seen it go over 10gb of vRAM on my 1080ti. Usually it hovers around 9GB of vRAM at 4k max settings.
Slightly over 10 GB is not bad since it's under GTX 1080 Ti's 11 GB limit, but PC's DX11 API memory consumption is not the same as XBO's API memory consumption with memory aliasing feature advantage.
PC needs to use DX12 for it's own memory aliasing feature usage and it's not automatic process and needs to be programmed in.
EA DICE is backing the claims for ARC dev's 16 GB GTX 1070 DX11 vs X1X claims. Gears of War 4 PC build has UE4 DX12, but it's unknown if they used DX12 memory aliasing feature.
PS4's API has memory aliasing feature, but it's a question for developers if they use this feature. One of many supporting reasons for SW Battlefront Endor map has nice looking forest scenes with excellent texture work.
@RyviusARC: Because that's VRAM allocated. Allocated VRAM will go way above what is actually required. You'll see a 980 Ti use 5GB of VRAM in 4K and then you'll see a 1080 Ti use 8GB for the same game with the same settings. That's normal. It's not actually the VRAM used.
