pics or it didn't happen, everyone on this board knows that the 360 has a failsafe that prevnts RROD, it called Rdot around here, the console displays a warning sign stating your console does not have enough ventilation with a red dot in the middle of the power button, it then shuts down.Haha. I was just asking which would sound funnier. groded or GRODed. I dont actually have a Slim. I havent had a 360 ever since my latest one exploded after putting God of War 3 in it.

I loledirl to this :p
i have never had a problem with my elite, but its still sad that with newer hardware, they still cant stop overheating.

Nothing kills an xbox like an angry bouncer from the gay club starring in a button masher.
They toke out the color red from the light, so it wont blink red (thats there way of fix ing RROD)RTUUMM
Yep just like Sony made the Slim incapable of displaying a yellow light now...no more YLoD.

Any electronics device can overheat if not ventilated properly. The rrod (or overheating) problem had been corrected before this iteration of the 360. Based on the design, the increased fan size and extra vents, not to mention using components that run cooler, it is highly unlikely the new 360 will have such an epidemic.[QUOTE="RTUUMM"]They toke out the color red from the light, so it wont blink red (thats there way of fix ing RROD)coasterguy65

That's not what he said, he was talking about the 360. Would you like to address that?
No? well lets talk about a different console that doesn't have a infamous failure rate.

RROD means "general hardware fail" error and overheating is only one of many reasons that can cause it :P if you hate pople saying BS, don't say BS that slim can't be RODDed... i mena GRODed, there no such thing as perfect hardware

If the 360 couldn't handle that. I'd hate to see what it could handle then.My slim is fine. My launch console rroded on me once a couple of years ago. I had it back 2 weeks later, good as new. But here's a fun fact: if my xbox red ringed once a year, and I knew it was going to happen, I would still take it over the ps3 :(

your the one talking BS, there is no such thing as GROD, its RDOT, the outer ring would only turn completely green if you have 4 controllers hooked up to it,all failures are now indicated by a single red light in the middlethe horse isnt deadbeat the dead horse.

RROD is no longer an issue,i don't see an epidemic of hardware failures with the slim, the horse is dead mate, cows will just desperately cling on to something that no longer exists just to bash the 360, cos they can't bash it for lack of wireless now, you can't really bash it for charging for the internet now, the only thing they have left is 3 games that look marginally better to claim the Ps3 has the best graphics, Sad really, but what can you do,lol[QUOTE="ShadowriverUB"][QUOTE="delta3074"]pics or it didn't happen, everyone on this board knows that the 360 has a failsafe that prevnts RROD, it called Rdot around here, the console displays a warning sign stating your console does not have enough ventilation with a red dot in the middle of the power button, it then shuts down.delta3074

the 9% failure rate of the ps3, when less then 1% was guranteed by sony is pretty infamous to me...and it doesn't change the fact that sony did the exact same thing the slim is incapable of yellow because it has no yellow led now. the 360 still has a red led, it just doesn't do rrod anymore, it blinks red in the center area.your the one talking BS, there is no such thing as GROD, its RDOT, the outer ring would only turn completely green if you have 4 controllers hooked up to it,all failures are now indicated by a single red light in the middle[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="ShadowriverUB"]

just red dot dude, the console relies more on displaying a warning message on screen, with a red dot in the middle of the power supply, it has been problamatic for a few users who's consoles have shut down every 45 min due to faulty heat sensors i would assume.Ive been looking for story's about the slim red ring/over heating problems all over the place and cant find any info on it,except in systeme wars.Several week's ago someone posted some thread about the new slim models over heating and ever since i wanted to know more about this because ive kindeve been thinking about buying one.Like i said ive found nothing. My friends a manager at our local gamestop and he say's they've had no returns on the console since it went onsale.Pretty much every bad thing ive heard about the slim being garbage has been limited to this websites boards.People if your in love with another console thats fine, just dont put out false info on another product because ofyour loyal to another company.Moderators really need to lock these topics that spread false info.As far as i know the slim 360's may have problems but who knows who to believe because so much false info gets out there.Yea, i know some of these consoles are breaking but every new electronic device that comes out has a few lemons but it really annoys me when people start spreading rumors that just arent true.

What did I say he said? He of course was implying that Microsoft took out the red LEDS just to avoid the RRoD. I just pointed out that Sony did the exact same thing to avoid the YLoD with the Slim. Why is there no combination of LEDs that can make the color yellow on a PS3 Slim now?
Relax don't get your knickers in a knot...I wasn't trying to trash Sony. I was just mentioning an observation. Bottom line is both new systems don't have the ability to fail for what both were previously known for failing for. It's that simple, and in both cases smart.
Especially since many people can't seem to differentiate between massive failures in 2006 and the fact that it is now 2010, and the RRoD is virtually non-existent in the newer Xbox 360 systems.
