@ProtossX: SF 5 isn't as relevant as it was back then because there are so many games out that are good fighters, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Persona Arena, Smash Bros U, etc

something about the power bars the combos the artstyle street fighter 4 really draws me in

tekken was better during ps2 with tekk tag and mortal kombat is more of just a fun game to play not really competitive

Fighting games aren't for the masses anymore. And Mortal Kombat/Killer Instinct is just fine for XB1. I think the timed Exclusivity of Tomb Raider will mean more to Microsoft than SF5 will for PS4. Even though I have a PS4 Im prolly going to buy SF5 on my PC so I can use my xb1 fightstick.

The Xbox One sure as hell does not need Street Fighter V to survive, however I can say with 99.9% certainty that it will eventually get it due to the limited contractual agreement that Sony has which only grants them control of vanilla SFV and not any altered editions to come after.

Explain what happened again when Street Fighter II was SNES exclusive. The subsequent versions of the game were released on the Genesis well before the system "died" so I'm pretty sure not having SFII on the system didn't matter.

Dude, not too many people give a flying **** about Street Fighter. The only fighting game that has mass appeal these days is Mortal Kombat and that's on all platforms. I, and pretty much everyone out there, would take MK over SF any day of the week. Lacking ONE fighting game is not going to have any profound affect on the Xbox One whatsoever. Fighting games aren't as popular as they used to be, not even close.

A fighting game topic is pretty much one of the worst topic to discuss in SW (along with Audio). I learned this in 2005 and it holds true today in 2015. The majority of users here just aren't into the hardcore fighting game community, but there is a couple of stragglers in SW that are hardcore and people that remember SF, Tekken, or MK back in the day.

I wouldn't worry about a SF topic these days, and this is coming from a user who participated in professional fighting game tourneys once upon a time.

Actually Street Fighter V iterations after the initial release have no contractual tie to Sony or the PlayStation 4 and are free to be available on any platform. In terms of No Man's Sky it has not been ruled out whether there will be an Xbox One version or not, I'd say most likely.

MKX makes SFV look like utter sh*t, so no thanks.

The PC can still play just about any game since the 90s and gets great games all the time and the PS4 has a couple of good games. Also lol, SFV looks like it'll run on any low end gaming PC. I have little reason to get a PS4 for that.

'Console' exclusievs may not count for much in the System Wars metagame, but in the real world, they are a thing and can change the tide of a console's mainstream perception. Or have you forgotten how Xbox benefitted from Morrowind, KOTOR, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and so on?

Meh, if there was a PS4 exclusive I'd wish upon a star for Xbox One to have, the game I'd want would either be Bloodborne or Persona 5. I don't think I'd get Street Fighter V even if it did come to the Xbox One, I'm just not a Street Fighter fan like I used to be. Well, I'm not a fan of fighters anyways, not like I was in the 90s when I'd play anything from SF to MK to Primal Rage, Killer Instinct, Fatal Fury, Virtua Fighter, Eternal Champions, Shaq Fu. Though, I am up for a little of dabbling in the genre, maybe with one game at least. As far as my preferences go I think I'll bestow that honor on the new MKX coming out. Though, even there I'm a bit hesitant do to the launch DLC coming, may wait a little bit for a bundle sale but I still want to play it. Can't say the same about SFV, not yet anyways.

People in here seem to forget or too young to realize that the downfall came for consoles like the dreamcast when they lost ALL 3rd party and multiplatform title to Sony. MS has so much 3rd party support that they're not going anywhere no time soon. They even have 3rd party exclusives and exclusive content deals to go along with it.. You always read in here X1 has no games, they have all the 3rd party games plus they have 1st party exclusives but Sony fanboys count the 3rd party games when the Playstation doesn't have any exclusives and then when they get 1 megaton game, the multiplatforms doesn't matter anymore and X1 has no games lol. Too funny.

Street Fighter has never been exclusive. SF5 isn't exclusive, it's coming to PC. PS4 owners will ignore that fact though. They seem to only care that it isn't on Xbox and it seems that is all Sony did it for. What other reason would you buy console ''exclusivity'' but then release it on PC? Also, is Sony publishing it on PC too like they did with Twisted Metal?
