Both are free;). I like XBL a little more but the differences are not much.

This is like the 5th or 6th time I've seen you say this.....but you never give an explaination.
Can you explain how XBOX LIVE is free, please?

I do it for the lolz. Im referencing to the point that XBL is free. XBL Gold isnt.:P
PSN because people are more "mature" there and you can actually play a game respectively.aerial6790People still believe this? Pack in a headset with every PS3 and watch (and hear) what happens.
People still believe this? Pack in a headset with every PS3 and watch (and hear) what happens. i hear people playing and just talking about what they are gonna do like strategy idk etc. It's very rare u find people arguing about how awesome they are etc. And if there are people like that in PSN,then they are deuches.[QUOTE="aerial6790"]PSN because people are more "mature" there and you can actually play a game respectively.DroidPhysX

Sadly no
PSN, its not worth paying an extra $60 for cross game chat and "better integration" whatever the heck that is.
And if you don't pay $60 then PSN is better again, as you can actually play online.
[QUOTE="hexashadow13"]PSN, its not worth paying an extra $60 for cross game chat and "better integration" whatever the heck that is.clone01perhaps you should actually use it sometime, and you'd know. I have, seems to be just somewhat more seamless menus. Still not worth $60.
Wheres Steam?
Anyways, PSN
is steam integrated into games? no its still a standalone app and store.[QUOTE="clone01"][QUOTE="hexashadow13"]PSN, its not worth paying an extra $60 for cross game chat and "better integration" whatever the heck that is.hexashadow13perhaps you should actually use it sometime, and you'd know. Still not worth $60. its got integrated functions in it, so games that use it can be improved without the dev intervinining, in fact if m$ upgrades the system all the games get upgraded, like the codec for the voice chat that was upgraded in the fall, thats apart of every game, so every game got upgraded. Sony decides to upgrade voice chat... they can't since its not standard in the service, dev's support their own VoIP on psn.

OK den...

Um, yes... it is integrated into loads of games. no its not, steam is used as an overlay, and patches games, or steam can pick out a server and start a game to use it, but its not part of the game, but the steam friends list isn't part of games, i might as well be using aim, its not part of the game.[QUOTE="savagetwinkie"][QUOTE="hexashadow13"] I have, seems to be just somewhat more seamless menus. OK den... but its part of the OS, so dev's have more resources for otherthigns, a dev on ps3 making the same game will just get to use the functions on xbox, then they have to build and support them on ps3. they've essentially taken out some online functionality, standardized it, and provided it to dev's, and the gamers are made to maintain it. It just means the quality is better on xbox for certain thigns. like matchmaking, its part of live, same thing with alot of connection protocals so connecting can be faster and more stable especially under high traffic enviroments. if they didn't do this I wouldn't agree with the cost, but they did provide a service that is a step above the rest, and part of the online for all games can be maintained and upgraded without the need to patch games.

Well I have used it and sure theres a lot of features, but I still prefer PSN over XBL
PSN's best for me. I rarely play online on consoles and I wouldn't want to pay for it. That's bull****. It's like paying to unlock dlc. which in this case, is the multiplayer portion of your game. SilverChimeraI think "Couldn't win Game of the Year" would go great in that sig, lol.

that's cool. its good to see some people will actually try something before making a judgement about it.[QUOTE="SwagSurf"][QUOTE="clone01"] perhaps you should actually use it sometime, and you'd know.clone01

Yup, Steam no no effect on online game, servers arent connected to Steam, well the only games that are, are games made by valve, mods included, and indie games, but I dont think Steam effects them that much
There's like one of these err-day now. Both are pretty much the same, one is free, I use that one.FIipMode
Free service > $60 service littered with ads. I didn't need my college degree to answer that either.
Comparing the actual quality of the two services, Live blows PSN out of the water, but PSN is by no means bad considering its free.
It just can't compare to Live. Being free is the one major advantage it has

Ok...I acknowlege that XbOX 360's chat features are better.
Other than chat and communication features, what is it that LIVE has that "blows PSN out of the water"?

Faster downloads [yes I checked myself by downloading the Army of Two 40th day demo on both systems] and you don't have to install, sleeker and more fluid interface, more content in it's marketplace, more demos, more arcade titles, more integration into it's games. I also notice a lot more people have mics on Live since a free mic came with the earlier 360 models [assuming they didn't suffer from RROD] Most of these features are free anyway, for me paying 4 dollars a month [ I get XBL cards off Amazon for cheap] is more convenient then having to utilize a seperate system and account strictly for online play. Although I play Uncharted 2 and MAG I use my 360 for multiplat multiplayer games[QUOTE="Unnatural101"][QUOTE="worldsworstgame"]

I also just want to add that downloads are DEFINITELY longer on PSN and that's not even looking at the mandatory installations.PSN because people are more "mature" there and you can actually play a game respectively.aerial6790People aren't more "mature" on the PS3 :| If Sony put in a headset then you'd see the real "maturity"
