Most likely fake considering if this were true it would mean Kinect is not necessary for the system and that's something MS will not back off on.LordOfPoms
and would make the name xbox one non-sensical (not that it really wasn't already) since kinect is required for the "one" functionality of being an all-encompassing multimedia device.

No one would use it as a selling feature and wording it like that is kinda weird.

it would also be announced since it'd be a huge deal and not silently be posted on the ms store site.

Yup, Kinect is too built into the Xbox One to just be ripped out on a whim by Microsoft. It's their big gamble, so I wouldn't trust any "leaked" images of a cheaper Xbox until Microsoft says it themselves.Ok, now I think about it, the "now available without Kinect" is like, wut? True, it directly affects how the console will work. Removing Kinect means taking out many features, that are supposed to be the "selling points", remote control, heartbeat detecting and what not. It also means devs don't have to implement Kinect onto everything (this is probably a good thing).[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="rjdofu"] Ok, now I think about it, the "now available without Kinect" is like, wut? yes and for reasons already mentioned.
If this is right, which im skeptical about then the hdd must really low, maybe around 200 gb. Who would want to buy such a low hdd?.

Fake, but I think MS should seriously consider removing the mandatory Kinect requirement. Releasing a sub $400 console to counter Sony would be a very smart move on their part.
If this is true then Microsoft are huge cowards. They had something interesting in the beginning with game sharing and focus on kinect. They seemed pretty confident with their pricing. But now they are stripping away all the crap they had a focus on and basically runied their image in the process....morons and fvcking cowards.Â
I do think MS will eventually release a revised version of xbox one without kinect in order to reduce the price but not before the launch of the console

they'd have to rename it.
