DS – Over 50,000,000 units
Wii – 36,514,494 units
Xbox 360 – 28,841,373 units
PS3 – 17,896,921 units
3DS – 1,417,000 units

Here comes the herd saying because it is a American company and not noticing the Nintendo numbers. It just seems americans do not care for the PS3.

Glad the 360 is doing so well. I think it is a much better console then the PS3. I have both and only use the PS3 for netflix ( I like how it is set up more on the PS3), blu-ray, and the few PS3 exclusives I want. I use all multiplat games on the 360 and of course the exclusives.

Sony struggled for sales in the US this generation. Luckily their fanbase around the world still very big

I only care because that vast sales difference brings more PC gamers to 360, like Witcher 2 ones

So, they do matter in my gaming, Withcer 2 is only coming to 360 in consoles

am sure this thread only pleases MS since they are the ones making money out of those sales figures... unless fanboys get a commission percentage out of each 360 unit sold :P

Indiana Jones rip-offs, recycled platformers, and FPS STILL are the best selling games on the PS3. Sony may not have it right, but they gave it a good shot.

People also seems to forget that although the PS3 and 360 have about the same amount of units sold, the 360 moves significantly higher amounts of software. That it what the developers looks for and want.

Everything is an opinon, for example i still rent 10/10 shooters and buy 7/10 RPGs

Indeed, most developers care for 360 US sales, that is why Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support, Skyrim timed exclusive DLC and Withcer 2 is coming to 360

Even From Software gave 360 the best Dark Souls version, the one that runs smooth

Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 Sales Nearly Double PS3

As of October 29, worldwide sales for Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 were 2,249,092. Sales on the PlayStaiton 3 were at 1,486,067 – still an impressive number. What's more shocking is that PC sales of Battlefield 3, hadn't even eclipsed the 500,000 mark

I live in US. as well does that mean that the Pound and Euro should be worthless,i don't care about them.

The war is over the PS3 and xbox 360 loss,the PS3 is 3rd and we should stop with this threads,the xbox 360 and PS3 both failt to be even close to the PS2 numbers,the only console close to those numbers is the wii the current winner.

Who ever thinks that there hasn't been a few million 360 re-buys is lieing to them self,the console has a 3 year warranty,which by now has run out on many million of 360 out there,the unit is 6 years old,all consoles manufacture or sold on nov 2005,2006,2007 and 2008,are out of warranty now,if the unit fails is buy a new 360,or sell your games for almost noting to get a PS3,which isn't and option.
